Video 001 | Lancer of Black

[Now that the nasty business of Moonblessings and transformations are done, Lancer's ready to talk more publicly. So he appears on video to ask this question rather than texting this evening. The pale, dark eyed man greets the camera with a glass of dark red wine and a desire for distractions.]

This place, or the moons above, seem hell bent on drawing out compulsions we never even had.

[Not going to think on that too hard. Lancer just finishes the glass of red wine he's holding.]

Please humor me if you are not from this world and tell me what you used to indulge in back home. Are you still drawn to it here? Can it even be found here?

Do the moons increase that for you or has it all changed now?

[A lot of questions but he really doesn't plan to investigate this too much. He just wants to hear what other people do for fun.]
bloodisthicker: how you think you're getting out of this (oh that is cute)

Hmm... well, back home I liked tending to my potted plants, watching the birds and bird hybrids I set food out for, and listening to the radio. It was pretty convenient since outside of the plants, I could accomplish actual work while I indulged my hobbies a bit.

It’s pretty similar here, although I don’t have the same kind of work to do. I do think the way the, ah, radio works here has its benefits and drawbacks compared to the one back home. It’s kind of nice that you can arrange things so you can just listen to your favorite radio show whenever you like instead of having to worry about missing it, but you’re also kind of inundated with choices in comparison. I guess it’s a wonderful problem to have, though...
bloodisthicker: it never fails. (i saw it in my coffee.)

The music’s interesting, if not entirely what I’m used to, but I also like... well, they’re called podcasts here, but I usually think of them as radio dramas. I suppose some of them are nonfiction, because some of them are ostensibly true crime. It’s an interesting way to learn about the history of this world, even if it’s just the small parts.

And hmm... I wouldn’t really say it does, no. The most I can say is that sometimes I find myself wondering if my houseplants are edible during the three moons specifically since I tend to get hit by Cordis a bit harder then, but I haven’t actually given in at any point.
bloodisthicker: you sure about that (well this is awkward)

[Well, in fairness, it probably wouldn't be about Dracula! It'd probably be about some vampire bat guy who drains people of their chroma and has thirty different dicks or something.]

Hmm... well, I did try to look into them in the Lunar Scientia's library and the bookstores, but honestly, it's kind of hard to find any historical or mythological fiction that doesn't take a hard left into erotica. Even the podcasts tend towards the raunchy...
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

True enough. Though, given how this place works, I do kind of wonder how much of it is actually the truth... but anyway, I do hope you find something fun to occupy your time.
bloodisthicker: because here is a man of wealth and taste (cue up some rolling stones)

You’re welcome, and don’t mention it. We’re all in this together, after all, so we should aid each other when we can.
