[Now that the nasty business of Moonblessings and transformations are done, Lancer's ready to talk more publicly. So he appears on video to ask this question rather than texting this evening. The pale, dark eyed man greets the camera with a glass of dark red wine and a desire for distractions.]

This place, or the moons above, seem hell bent on drawing out compulsions we never even had.

[Not going to think on that too hard. Lancer just finishes the glass of red wine he's holding.]

Please humor me if you are not from this world and tell me what you used to indulge in back home. Are you still drawn to it here? Can it even be found here?

Do the moons increase that for you or has it all changed now?

[A lot of questions but he really doesn't plan to investigate this too much. He just wants to hear what other people do for fun.]

I have had to suffer out the beginnings of these transformations and the things that come with them. They are annoyances I will overcome, but annoyances none the less.

[Because he really hates his current set up.]

I've been idly wondering if I've been cursed with this due to spite or some form of bad luck. I wondered if others were so ill suited for their Moonblessings.

If... it helps, I've heard that these... "urges" and "transformations" affect people differently. So it's not that you're cursed or ill-suited. It may just be that you're adapting in your own way.

That's not so bad, when in a strange environment, is it?

Your optimism is comforting though history would instruct me otherwise when it comes to why I suffer such things.

[It may be that it favors a side of him he's putting a lot of effort into carving out after all.]

I'd prefer to be myself in any environment, no matter how strange.

Have things really been so bad for you back in your world? I wouldn't call myself optimistic... but I've known people to think the worst of themselves in situations they can't really control.

[ She does it herself and has been trying to break herself out of it. ]

Things are not as terrible as that. Just that luck is unkind to me and just as the sun rises each morning I should not suspect it will change anytime soon. I can overcome even that though.

[Not so terrible as he still manages up to a point.]

It's good to meet you, Master Lancer.. then? [ She sounds unsure, but, she does bow her head to the camera. ]

I am called Kitsuno. If I may be so bold... what is it that you did back in your own land?

[Lancer Dracula? Too obvious a title if he's going to be sticking with Lancer anyways.]

Just Lancer is fine.

[Very informal but more fitting his duties. Gives a slight bow of his head in return to her respectful greeting.]

I was brought in to lead others defending a land I once called home against powerful enemies. I was taking part in a counter attack when I arrived here.

[Close enough without giving out too many details or that he was losing that counter attack.]

So... you're a warrior, then? You have a regal bearing, so I'd assumed you were nobility as well.

I have much to learn. Where was your homeland, then?

He avoids the exact detail of where he's from though by offering a slightly more vague answer.]

Romania. Though it has been long since I ruled there the people in some areas still remember me.

[Which is where his strength lies as well but he's going to make due here.]

If it is not too bold to ask, what lands do you call home?

It's not bold at all- I come from a land called Sawa of the Prism Mists. From my understanding, the land around us is called Nihon... or, Japan, as I have come to learn.

[ She's from a different existence, really. ]

Have you heard of it, Master Lancer? [ Give her a bit, she's not used to talking without titles... ]

I have heard of Japan. It is a land to the east, though further than I have traveled in life.

[He's unsure about the rest but technically he comes from the Throne of Heroes outside of both time and space. Still, Romania is his home and where his legend is strongest.]

I suppose I travel more now than I ever would have even had my life been more leisurely.
