[bright and early on the morning of triple moon comes a surprise network message from danny]

Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help.

However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.

[Shy of two months, wow. Time flies.]

So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus.

... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.

[... They're coming out of his goddamn face is what Danny is trying to say here.]

So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

Mine regularly replace my arms, and I find doorknobs difficult to deal with, but they have yet to inconvenience me quite so badly as that.

Previously I had thought this particular change would never happen to me given that normally it's... typically rabbit related nonsense I deal with, but now I can say I kind of wish it had replaced my arms like it does yours instead.

[He just wants to drink his coffee and not think about how ugly his lack of a right eye is Grimm, is that so much to ask for around here.]

That's kind of you to offer, Grimm. Though, I think I'm probably going to just stay inside for now and

[He was going to continue with something, but then Grimm's going to hear a loud clatter of something being dropped to the floor and a hard to understand swear in the kitchen of his apartment.]

Sorry, one moment. These stupid things suddenly twitched and slapped my mug out of my hand and onto the floor.

[Well, that just means Grimm's coming out there to pick up said mug. Luckily it's not fragile enough to break.]

I am sorry they are giving you such troubles.

[The mug didn't break, but there sure is a spill on the floor that needs cleaning, which Danny will do once he finds a rag to do so with. However, when he faces Grimm, the other will be able to see the various amount of tentacles coming out of the right side of his face where his glass eye normally is. They seem to wriggle a little more excitedly in the air as if sensing Grimm's presence.

And then Danny opens his mouth, where one solitary tentacle seems to have replaced his tongue that slides out down his chin as he attempts to speak.]

Thorry for the mesth--ugh.

[He groans, and holds up his phone as he types the message properly for Grimm to see "Sorry for the mess" here.]

[That really is inconvenient. Grimm sets the mug down on the counter.]

There is nothing to apologize for.

[...he can't resist giving Danny's eye-tentacles a little pat. He's happy to see you too.]

[The eye-tentacles seem to like that and try to reciprocate the touch by trying to grab at Grimm's fingers, but Danny uses a hand to bat them away from doing so with a mumbled "thop tat" before he holds up his phone with his other hand for Grimm to read.]

As I was saying before, it might be best if I just stay in, at least for today.

That is more than fine, my beloved. Allow me to take care of you in your precarious state.

[Danny's face turns a little red in embarrassment as the eye tentacles seem to wriggle even more rapidly in the air in response to those words. He sighs and types in further--]

I appreciate it, though I will try not to be too much of an

[he then stops, and seems to reconsider something, backspaces a bit to type instead]

not to let them be too much of an inconvenience for you here.

[hagrides]

[Good on you for correcting that, Danny, because Grimm would have immediately protested.]

They are far more a bother to you than they are to me. I find them quite endearing.

[doctorize]

You do?

[They wriggle even more excitedly at that, trying to grab at Grimm. See, Grimm likes us Danny.]

[hagrides]

Indeed. Look, they're happy to see me.

[Grimm entwines his fingers with the tentacles gently.]

[doctorize]

[Indeed they are, and for a moment Danny watches with his good eye how they pull on and move around Grimm's fingers, before he reaches up again and goes to disentangle them from Grimm's hand.

However, he doesn't immediately pull back, as he replaces them with his own fingers grasping Grimm's hand. He types on his phone with one hand here to say--]

Well, I think I prefer holding your hand in my own than using them for that.

[hagrides]

I shall hardly complain, if that is what you choose.

[He lifts Danny's hand to kiss the back of it.]
