[bright and early on the morning of triple moon comes a surprise network message from danny]
Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help.
However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.
[Shy of two months, wow. Time flies.]
So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus.
... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.
[... They're coming out of his goddamn face is what Danny is trying to say here.]
So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

[He just wants to drink his coffee and not think about how ugly his lack of a right eye is Grimm, is that so much to ask for around here.]

[He was going to continue with something, but then Grimm's going to hear a loud clatter of something being dropped to the floor and a hard to understand swear in the kitchen of his apartment.]
Sorry, one moment. These stupid things suddenly twitched and slapped my mug out of my hand and onto the floor.

[Noiz, that isn't helpful. Most people wouldn't do that, they're too squicked.
Noiz dun curr.]

[That sounds both painful and mildly fascinating to be honest.]

It's what I'd do if what you described happened to me though.

Still, the piercing idea... perhaps it would work for some of them, though others might be... risky.
[If the one that replaced his tongue turns back while still pierced... that might be bad.]

I have to admit that I'm morbidly fascinated by what you're describing, however.

[It's a good thing he likes you Wesker
against better fucking judgement, you get to be one of the few people allowed to be morbidly fascinated by this for now.]I... haven't seen any markings yet. What do those usually look like?
[Maybe Danny has some on his back and hasn't noticed yet on account of the face being more distracting.]
no subject
I chose to keep some of the transformation permanently. I have the markings on some areas of my body but not my face, as well as some of the things that have happened to my organs. All easily covered and inconspicuous under clothes.
[He got his hands on dusklight bracelets, basically. Which is a thing literally nobody needed? No one needed that.]
no subject
I'm kind of surprised that you're keeping them permanently. Are those changes really that beneficial to have?

That's rather unfortunate, Doctor, but I'm an Iris myself and I've never experienced any traits of that nature.
no subject
[He'd ask what traits Lucas normally gets instead, but sometimes people prefer to keep that information as private as much as possible. He would have done the same if they hadn't gotten annoying enough that he bit the bullet and asked.]
no subject
[ What's wrong with being a rabbit with horns and fangs? At least right now he can still use the network and stuff. ]
But I have my own questions about the cycle, and it's not exactly something I'd like to ask in a public channel. Do you have the time for a private message?
now private
[And thus, the conversation is switched over to a more private means of communication.]
What did you want to ask about?

have you heard of the survival support group? it's a service for the touch-averse a few of us are trying to get off the ground. having volunteer therapists available in private at the monthly meetings was an idea that'd been brought up. hadn't envisioned professional doctors, though, didn't know there were any here. group has only had one soft launch so far but it went all right. has potential.
no subject
[Normally it wouldn't be back home, but... ehh currency doesn't really work the same here as it does there.
At the mention of the support group however, that does admittedly get his attention.]
I had not heard of this before, but now I must say that I regret having apparently gone so long without doing so. I would be very interested in hearing more about this, if you don't mind.

It's been said they can permanently heal wounds or return limbs. There should be no reason why they couldn't remove extraneous ones.
[ It's uncertain how long that would last during a Moonblessing that spawns them, or how often the procedure would need repeating. Still, in his opinion, anything sounds better than the potential of slowly suffocating. ]
