Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help.

However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.

[Shy of two months, wow. Time flies.]

So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus.

... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.

So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

Somehow, I am not surprised that you would be fascinated by this.

I... haven't seen any markings yet. What do those usually look like?

[Maybe Danny has some on his back and hasn't noticed yet on account of the face being more distracting.]

On me they're usually dark, translucent-looking patches. No particular pattern. If anything is internally bioluminescing it can be seen through them.

I chose to keep some of the transformation permanently. I have the markings on some areas of my body but not my face, as well as some of the things that have happened to my organs. All easily covered and inconspicuous under clothes.

... Interesting. I'll have to take a look at myself further to see if I missed any somehow.

I'm kind of surprised that you're keeping them permanently. Are those changes really that beneficial to have?

I find them interesting, more than anything.

Fair enough! It may not be for me... at least, not yet as I've yet to find a change interesting enough to want to keep, but I can't fault anyone for wanting to keep something for themselves.

It's not for everyone, granted. I'm fairly sure most just find the changes either inconvenient or horrifying in some way.

Usually it's the former for me, but in this case it seems to be both.
