Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help.

However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.

[Shy of two months, wow. Time flies.]

So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus.

... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.

[... They're coming out of his goddamn face is what Danny is trying to say here.]

So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

It wasn't that bad at all. Your tongue is tender for a while and smarts, but you get used to it and then it's gone. It's nothing worth complaining about.

What kind of worse pains?

I used to work as a therapist for a prison years ago. There's been a few times where I've had... some very stressed patients attack me. Once I was even electrocuted with a stun baton they had stolen from one of the guards.

Electrocution, huh? That sounds like it must have been one hell of an experience.

It was. I was struck right across the back of my head with it too, so that might have made it worse than it could have been normally.

... That said, the man ended up getting electrocuted as well shortly after and died from it, so I imagine that his pain ended up being worse than mine.

[He deserved it though, fuck that guy.]

I'd bet, what with all the bioelectric currents running through the brain. Did it cause any significant changes?

Of course. Logically. Now you make me want him to show up so I can ask him. :P

I don't think so? Or at least, none that I have noticed thus far.

As for that guy... for his sake, I hope he never shows up here. I don't think people would take kindly to a man like him being around, even with the way things are here.

[And also, Danny will absolutely murder the guy again tbh.]

Well... let's just say that he was in prison for a very good reason involving murder, and that his motivation for attacking me was trying to escape so that he could potentially keep killing people for a religious cult.

[... Nevermind that Danny himself ended up getting hooked on killing for a priest immediately after this, whoops.]
