[bright and early on the morning of triple moon comes a surprise network message from danny]

Hello, this is Dr. Daniel Dickens from the Second Nature Clinic. For those who are new here, I work as a therapist there, so if there is anyone in need of treatment and have been unable to find what you're looking for at the hospital, you're welcome to find me there and I'll see what I can do to help.

However, I didn't come here just to make an advertisement: there's something I haven't had happen before during one of these cycles, despite being here for... almost a year, apparently.

[Shy of two months, wow. Time flies.]

So I had some questions for people who have experienced this particular sort of trait for the Iris cycle, regarding... well. The one that involves having tentacles like an octopus.

... And before anyone says anything, no, it didn't replace you-know-what like I've seen some people mention on here before. They're somewhere entirely different, and currently preventing me from doing so much as taking a drink without it ending up on my person...or being able to speak at all, actually.

[... They're coming out of his goddamn face is what Danny is trying to say here.]

So maybe it's not questions I need answered so much as advice on how to deal with them. And hopefully not suffocate to death at some point before the cycle is over either.

it's free? curious.

have you heard of the survival support group? it's a service for the touch-averse a few of us are trying to get off the ground. having volunteer therapists available in private at the monthly meetings was an idea that'd been brought up. hadn't envisioned professional doctors, though, didn't know there were any here. group has only had one soft launch so far but it went all right. has potential.

yes. someone named otonashi came up with the idea. he and i discussed ways we could expand his original concept.

there are a lot of touch-averse people here and people who come from turmoil in their worlds. an unusual amount of trauma victims... it's hard for many people like this to adjust to chroma shit, especially when they first arrive. the meetings are designed with these people in mind, as a dedicated mingling space to kind of avoid uncomfortable ice-breakers in our private social lives. you get to just skip ahead to the awkward chroma part with the established silent understanding you're using each other and both hate this. so in a sense, chroma group therapy.

we met at the community center on level 2 on the 23rd. there were refreshments, a bonfire, little gifts like a badge, and a raffle. we did the raffle as incentive to sign in because we've decided it's best to have attendees sign in on each meeting so we can keep a running roster, in case people stop showing up. if we can get a small group of volunteer coordinators together, after some time, they could go on house-calls to check up on missing people. maybe they've adjusted and no longer need the group, maybe they've returned home, or maybe they're struggling so much they don't even want to go to the group. check-ins basically.

so, had also thought about having volunteers available for talk therapy apart from the group just for people who need to vent or whatever. all loose ideas. like i said, only had one meeting, which went well. but we think it could take off to something more impactful to the community, with enough people involved.

great. that's how i feel too. i'll tell otonashi you're interested. and by all means, if you know others who might be a good fit for simple therapy — not necessarily licensed or professional like you, even just nice people who have that "effect" on people, you know — spread the word. or anything else, really. all kinds of help and ideas are welcome.

we even discussed the possibility of starting a floating fund of demichroma for members who might find themselves in emergencies, cuz i heard the demichroma can be stored in crystals. i'm sort of new, don't know a lot about it, but it's an idea. hard to have "social security" in an economy like this, but i feel like this group could potentially grow to be somewhere in that realm... lofty ideas for way down the line, though. first we need people. coordinators and members both.

that’d be great Thank You! we were also discussing making fliers so that’s perfect. Otonashi will be glad to hear all this.

my name is Zuko by the way. nice to “meet” you? not sure what’s the right phrase on these machines but you know what I mean

I guess, yeah. For my own curiosity. I’ve never seen a mental doctor. They exist where I’m from but... I’ve never had the chance. Didn’t really think about it til now honestly. I don’t think I have a disorder... Just stress. A lot of stress. Being here especially.

[ don’t listen to him, doc, he has so many disorders. ]
