[Hey, fellow Moonblessed. It's a man insisting on wearing his Victorian-era clothes and hanging out on a rooftop. You know, like you do]

Right. I suppose with these two cities as large as they are, I have to go about things this way. I was waiting for someone but I don't know if they're here any longer. [He'll find out through this message, anyway]

But on to business. I'm going to be in need of a chemist and someone with an inventor's mind. If you're someone who can do both, all the better. It isn't urgent just yet but I'd rather meet such a person sooner rather than later. Also, how would I go about getting a motor cycle?

Oh shit. Can't say I remember hearing about that in-- ... well the one history class I ever got to take so that's probably why.

[He laughs a bit at himself. His education was not like many other people's.]

The US is huge. I mean, so is South America but I'm pretty sure most of their large cities don't even come close to the biggest in the US.

Well, yeah, 1997 is a good stretch of time out from yours. Hell, I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the advancements we've made in just the last like twenty years even, and I'm not that old.

Yeah. I'd say Prismatica is pretty similar to the US I know but uh. It's less neon by the 90's, much to the gratitude of everyone's eyesight.

Well, minus the animal parts, yeah there was a lot that was similar at least in the 80's. That whole era was about how bright and loud you could be. Everything was "radical" or "awesome" and if your clothes couldn't be seen a mile away you weren't in with the cool kids.

Less "means different" and more "slang changes from one year to the next so no one really uses them unironically anymore".

Your average citizen doesn't have to worry about being attacked just for wearing neon, either.

Trust me, I get it. I'm used to wearing fatigues and other combat gear. Bulky but absolutely not bright and flashy.

[Whoever came up with the name clearly had a sense of humor. Strap a newbie into uniform with all the equipment someone like Carlos has grown accustomed to carrying and they'd collapse after two steps.]

Sweats are amazing. Super comfortable, especially after a long day, and warm during colder months. Plus you don't have to get them in awful blinding colors. Basic ones usually come in black, blue or gray.

Heh, sure thing. Gotta help a guy stay comfortable.
