[ he makes a slight gesture, and the camera zooms out far enough to show a fuller view. anyone who knows him will notice right away that he's different! for one thing, his hair is so long that it's disappearing out of the bottom of the shot. for some others, he's wearing ceremonial silver armor and a heavy gold-trimmed cloak, and carrying an ornate golden staff taller than he is. his forearms, formerly badly cracked and set with stones, are perfectly smooth. and he looks more grown-up—though it might be hard to tell whether that's due to change in his features, or simply to his bearing. It is I! Titus Alexius! I have just now returned to this world! I gather that it's been three days here, just as it was three days the last time I left and then returned... Really, I wonder why it is three days?... but this time, for me, more than three years have gone by. So much has happened, and so much remains to be done, but what a gift it is to find myself once more in this place! My memories are returning all at once, and yet they are already years old... How strange and wonderful, to experience such instantaneous nostalgia...
[ abruptly, he leans forward and claps his hands together, letting the staff slip into the crook of his arm as he does so. ] In any case—honestly, I don't know how much of this is Cordis talking, but I am so, so excited to be back! I want to see and speak to you all again! I want to meet all the people I've never yet met! I want to eat, drink, and be merry! Of course, I want to moonlace—anything from handholding on up... Oh, speaking of which, I should update my profile on "the apps," shouldn't I?... ...Ah, but that can wait.
Everyone!! I will be permitted to drink them now, so please recommend your favorite alcoholic beverages! They have so many more varieties here than we do back home, and I am excited to try them, but I do know better than to sample too many at once.

It's possible that I don't actually require it—perhaps the rejuvenating effect of moonlacing will be enough by itself—but I wish to err on the side of caution.

Oh, you don't need to be 20 to drink here! 18 is the cutoff. By the way, in my world you don't have to be any particular age at all. At least, it is thus in Reim and in Magnostadt. The International Alliance has no rule about it, either. (I wonder if there is spiked tomato juice?)

And before that, I was a subordinate of the former high priestess of Reim posing as a member of Remani aristocracy in order to infiltrate Magnostadt and learn the truth about its oppression of nonmagicians. Mu is a very friendly and open-hearted man who tends to inspire great loyalty. We've had a lot of memorable experiences, which I suppose means we have a lot of CGs! For example, the time he told me that I was an unnatural monster who could never become human, and should never even have been born. And later, there was the time he was embarrassed to realize I could access Lady Scheherazade's memories of the lovestruck way he used to behave in his youth!
There may be many who think that way, but it doesn't mean they're right! Besides, there are also people who see past such differences and would never reject or look down on someone over reasons like that... I was lucky enough to meet some myself, even in spite of the fact that I am, as was mentioned, an unnatural monster who should never have been born. So please don't let others make you feel as though you are any less worthy of love and friendship than those who are more like everyone else.

I think the circumstances between us have changed more than Mu himself has. The first CG I spoke of occurred when we were on opposite sides of a battlefield, and at the time he saw me as nothing more than an extension of Lady Scheherazade; he had residual negative feelings about her spare body creation process that he could not express to her, as well as many concerns about his own place in the world, and he simply took all of that out on me. At least, that is what I believe now.
I do love Mu very much!
I no longer feel that I am particularly monstrous. But I am unnatural, which is to say, artificial. Lady Scheherazade created me by endowing a fragment of her own flesh and bone with life and pouring magic onto it over the course of many years. I looked human by the time she was finished, but you would never have mistaken me for such during any part of my larval state.

Well, Lady Scheherazade was a magi rather than a witch...
But in a sense, a magi is basically just a very powerful type of witch.

I never thought about it like that, but
I suppose that is exactly how I became human. Or, well, how I became my own person, at least... Apparently the other children never gave Lady Scheherazade half so much trouble, and I probably would have been the same were it not for meeting Marga, and then being supported so much by Aladdin and the others.
It sounds like a complicated situation indeed...
But I wonder how much of the blame truly lies with you. Or rather, I wonder whether "blame" is a useful framework at all for examining all three of your actions. You cannot know what is in someone else's heart unless you talk about it and share it among yourselves, right? If you loved Shinichi, it wasn't wrong to try to be with him. Moreover, what makes two people "meant" for each other is the fact that they have chosen it for themselves. If you had just ignored your own feelings because you assumed you already knew what Shinichi's and Miyuki's were, would that truly have been better? Your love is as valuable as theirs!
And I don't know whether I can speak to the rest, since there are times I have not only made my friends very angry, but times I got very angry with them, and even cried...

As for becoming Mu's lover, I suppose it might be a little awkward. He always loved my mother, but she never really thought of him like that since he was around 240 years younger than she was... And I am not only her cloned son who is 14 years younger than Mu, but I also gained all of her memories when I was reborn after both of our deaths. Considering his type is obviously older women, it is possible I am the worst of both worlds as romantic prospects go. But I could always suggest it and see what he thinks!
There is also Sphintus. I love him very much as well, and we are basically raising my dear Marga together, so it would probably make sense for us to be lovers. But for all the time I've known him, his dream has been to marry a rich noblewoman, and I would hate for him to give that up on my account...
I don't think your love truly hurt Shinichi and Miyuki, at least not in the long run. After all, is your love for them not the reason you ended up deciding you wanted to help them be happy with one another?
I also wonder whether it is really all right for God to meddle in people's private affairs like that.
