How do you know you love someone?

I have done a lot of research, and every answer I seem to find points me to a different place.

I've only been in love with one person... so my answer is probably way too specific.

But I wake up and he's the first in my thoughts, and the decisions I make tend to consider his preferences, too. And when I'm with him, I'm just so excited and so happy. Even with whatever problems I end up facing, the feeling is different because there's someone I know who'll be there for me, and someone I can turn to. I feel a lot lighter with them around.

I think it would be different for each person, so doing research may not be of much help. I think it's something you have to ask yourself about.
