[It's maybe half an hour after Cordis' first moonrise of the month when Akechi comes onto the network, sounding...mildly distressed.]

Does anyone know where I could find pants that would fit over a tail? Specifically one that I can't just slide through a hole.

[He pauses, and there's the sound of feathers rustling.]

Some advice on modifying existing clothing to fit would be nice too. And, as a lower priority...shirts I can wear with wings.



(OOC: Ren Amamiya is going to be bringing him something he can wear, but general advice is still welcome. He'll turn down offers to bring him clothing directly from anyone he doesn't know and who isn't about the same size as him.)

My Chroma supply hasn't been particularly steady, so I've been avoiding anything that actively consumes it.

I understand. I guess if you can endure the backless idea then until you can have some clothes altered that might be the best solution for the moment. I haven't had to deal with this myself just yet though.

Backless is fine, though I think I'd need something that ties in the back. I'd have a rough time pulling anything up over my tail.

With all the Prismals with animal parts around here, I'd imagine there must be regular clothing adapted for tails and things like that too?

Not much lower than if I was just wearing swim shorts, and my feathers would make sure nothing inappropriate is visible.

I admit, when I've been clothes shopping before, I wasn't exactly looking for anything that wasn't cut for a human body shape. I wonder what sort of clothing adaptations they've come up with...

That's a good question. You've got wings, you said? And a tail too? I've seen Prismals with all kinds of ears and tails since I got here. I guess it's the same with Moonblessed so you'd think there would have to be a wide range of adaptable clothing.

Bird wings, and a cat-like tail with feathers sticking out of it. I've seen tails before, but nothing quite like this.

That's not really anything new for me. I've always stood out in a crowd, back in Tokyo.

[Which can be quite the nuisance, when you're trying not to be recognized.]

Oh yeah? You're the second person I've met from there. Do you mind if I ask what made you stand out so much?

Mostly my hair color, it's a much lighter shade of brown than you normally see in Japan. My eyes also caught some attention, though, since they have a bit of a reddish tint to them.

Around here it almost feels like the environment stands out more than the people. To me anyhow.

[It's so much like home and yet not in a lot of ways it's almost dizzying.]

It's all fairly surprising, to me. Even Western TV shows have more of a variety of appearances than I'm used to, just from natural human variation. Adding in features from other species is...stunning, to say the least.

For the first few days it definitely was. I've sort of gotten used to it now.

At least from the outside looking in. I've not had anything like ears or a tail happen personally but maybe this isn't my moonphase either.

I am a lot more hungry than usual though.

That's happening to me, too. I have a fast metabolism to begin with, but...I don't normally get this hungry so soon after dinner.

Yeah? I guess maybe this is my moonphase then because I could probably eat more than one dinner at a time to be honest with you.

I feel like I could eat several myself, and my idea of 'dinner' is already much more than the person I used to work with over meals. I guess that's one of the side effects of this moon...

Teenage boys do have something of a reputation for being bottomless pits.

You're not kidding there. He can clean out my kitchen when he stays around for more than a day. I really feel for you if you're half the eating force he is.

After a while, you get used to rarely actually eating your fill. I just eat enough to get by, or else I don't think I'd be able to afford my rent.

I'm sorry to hear that. Rent can be ridiculous in a big city.

[He's a teenager, right? She can't help but feel a pang of something like sadness. No teenager should have to juggle that sort of rent on their own.]

Especially if you want anything resembling privacy. The cheaper apartments in Tokyo all have nothing but wooden walls between units, and that's not very suitable for a job that requires taking classified phone calls.
