[Good morning, Lunatia. The video starts with a view of hooves, a too close view of a face... and then finally... a centaur? Who keeps looking off screen while she talks and never seems to actually focus on the lens correctly.]
Hello? Can everyone see me? Connor, am I doing this right? Okay? ... Okay.
[She clears her throat and dips into a bow, the camera bobbing along with her.]
Hello! This is Konoha... some of you maybe think my name is Shizu, but- It's Konoha! I'm from Echigo province, in Japan, if you know it... and I'll be in your care.
If you don't know me, which, I figure is most of you, this city must be even bigger than the capital I'm the... well in my world we say jinba but I'm the "centaur". I haven't seen anyone else like me so I think I can say "the"...
Anyway... what I wanted to ask was... if anyone had an recommendations for... shops? I've never really shopped before, and I haven't seen any locals quite like me, so if you know somewhere that does... I don't know, tailoring? Or a restaurant with really big seats or tall tables? Anything like that!
I'd appreciate it, so... thank you very much!
[Another bow, another bob of the camera... and a blurry flash of android helping her turn the dang thing off. Thanks, Connor.]

[ he should probably not just ask people that, and yet ]

[ it sucks ]
The first time, I was a dragon. That seems backwards, doesn't it?

[Does that mean he has to live in the water???]
no subject
It's inconvenient, to say in the least.
[ yes he has to live in the water rip ]

Do you get... scales and fins?

[ it's so weird that that's just a thing where she's from but it's also very cool and he's super interested in it. ]
Are there other creatures like you where you're from? Humans that are part animal? Or are the jinba the only ones?

[ im gomen that he's just like grilling her here ]

[He seems... weirdly saner than the other person claiming to be Nobunaga on this post, but...]
But plenty of jinba were captured or bred for fighting before- if that’s what you mean.

Hm. [ he considers it for a moment, definitely a hint of distaste. captured or bred definitely didn't sound good. more reason kenshin sucks i guess! lets blame it on him! ] Are they still...bred?

I only know about my village... my boss says some domains still do it.

Do you feel more free, here?
no subject
... Sort of.
[it's... almost weird not being discriminated against??? being somewhere without the scars of war and her species' mistreatment]
But... I still need to get home.

[ responsibilities - be they big (unifying a country) or small (lumberyard work, he assumes) - were like that. both of them were constrained in their own ways back home, but the same thing that bound them could be a big reason to return. and it's honorable that she would answer that way, that she would rather return and take care of her things there than remain here.
at least, that's how he's projecting onto this conversation. it's probably a lot to read into for a five minute conversation with a centaur he's never actually met. ]

I think the reasons we need to get home are really different probably.

Well, naturally. But I can still respect your determination.
[ even peasants have redeeming qualities!! ]
