Saw talk about us getting sent back to where we came from.
[...Not that she doesn't understand why, 'cause, well... hey. Everyone's life got kind of interrupted by being pulled here, right? Plenty of folks probably left a shitload behind. But... pff, well. This is more just. Biting the bullet and getting her own thoughts out 'cause she can.]
I got reminded of where I came from by what happened with the plants. What it reminded me of got a lot worse, though. I don't know how much of a universal constant this is, but I was 3 or 4 when the Raccoon City incident happened on Earth. Plus I've been trying to move on from some things a long time.
I wonder how alone I am saying I wouldn't shed a tear if I couldn't go back.
[...Well, that's some... kinda presumptive phrasing, there, Zoe...?
...But, well. Suffice to say...
...She's just tryin'a speak her head, out there. Just type it out, and collapse onto her forearm as she watches text just... tick across the screen...!]

...pff, right, this is... the first person who mentioned it on here, who said that she'd been there...]
I wasn't there when it happened. Me and my family are from the deep south.
[...That said, though...]
Have you heard about an incident in Louisiana?
[Text][Locked]
[Then again she was locked up with no access to the news for six months, and even then with all the cover-ups that have happened.]
What year did it happen in?
[Text][Locked]
...That makes. Sense, yeah. Like... statistically, she guesses, if... people come from all across both time and space...]
2014 was when it first happened.
I don't think anyone found out until later.
[If... they found out at all.
Greaaaaaaat.]
I came from 2017.
[Text][Locked]
And it lasted four years with no one finding outt? [Sherry wants to start demanding how, but now is not the time for that.]
I am so sorry.
I have no idea how things are going to be if we get home, if it's even possible. But, since I'm from the past, do you want me to try and stop it? or at least end it sooner?
[Text][Locked]
It happened out in a small town in the bayou. I don't even know if anyone was affected besides my family.
[...And... oh.
Oh, well... that... that hits her chest in a sort of miniature flashbang daze -- ...! And, like -- a mental double-take, mmh, there's a... little tug and an ache in there off of instinctive "please" curiosity in there, but - first...!
Fingers go a-jumping to type out -- !]
That depends on what you can handle.
["Not necessarily, except yes".
The tug just... doin' what it does. Pullin' them strings.
...God, her -- heart rate's kinda pickin' up just beginning to think about it -- don't get your hopes up, Zoe, you don't know if this person isn't just a particularly good Samaritan civilian, or...
...yeah, geez, even if there's any getting back from here anyway, or if it'd be worth gambling on the risk of goin' back to a friggin' sheerly-hypothetically-fixed life, anyway.]
[Voice][Locked]
What's your name?
[Voice][Locked]
-- After, you know, a moment of... processing? A blank, open "what for"...]
-- Zoe...
[A soft, smoky break.]
Zoe Baker.
[Voice][Locked]
I promise you if I can get there, and I can't handle it, I know people who can.
[Of course this all depends on what happens when they get set home, but sherry really really hopes she can keep this promise for Zoe's sake.]
[Voice][Locked]
A little -- thin, halting? Like she's not -- sure whether or not she should be keeping this a secret, or looking over her shoulder just in case she should - all -- through airy thought -- ]
-- Are you with the government -- ...?
-- O-or the B.S.A.A...?
[SO DOES ZOE, THIS... ACTUALLY SOUNDS PROMISING, GOD...]
Re: [Voice][Locked]
The government, but I've worked with the BSCAA before.
