I'm so sorry to bother everyone again, but... um... I have a question?

[ Connie is himself for once when broadcasting, apparently feeling better and better about showing his true face to everyone. He's holding a bit of stick incense in his hand, absently twirling it. ]

Is there... is there any way to measure how much gold is in chroma? I have... the evil kidnapping foxes, they killed my ferret, and I need her back, but the spell is... it needs a component of incense, charcoal and herbs worth a specific amount of gold, and I'm not sure how to balance that in our... money.

[ He sighs, rubbing the back of his head and kind of getting the stick tangled in it. ]

I haven't actually done this without my master. Do summoning spells even work, here?

[ He really hopes so, he misses Grace a lot. ]

I wish I could help you, but I cannot conceive of such magic in the first place, much less understand how to support its casting. ...Though, if you are in need of additional magoi—chroma—I would be happy to provide that! And I would also be glad to donate herbs, or charcoal, or whatever it was you said you needed.

Here and there. [ Their tail sways back and forth thoughtfully. ] More performers than I expected, although that might be more related to the kind of people I find interesting enough to seek out.

She is pretty amazing. And not so much here... but, yea. [Though technically, she hasn't really done that so much as she's used Green for her intended purpose - of a space ship.]

She's more of a vehicle than a mount, though. I'm usually inside her cockpit when we're traveling.

Since I just learn them out of nowhere, it's not exactly tricky for me, but I know other people can learn spells from studying, too. Wizards.

And how about yourself? You seem a little shy for the stage - do you have a vocation of your own besides magic?

Oh, I... I really do not have the stomach for the stage...

[ He'd be a whole mess of panic, honestly. ]

I don't quite know what I would do with myself. Um... I've only had about three years to try things. I guess I know a little about smithing, but I can't really lift the hammer.

Mmm, I'm not much for physical labor myself. ...I guess not everyone's lucky enough to stumble across their passion as soon as they get out. [ Said casually, and then Mayhem remembers that not everyone has to run away from their parents, and quickly amends to ] Ah, out of the house, I mean. Away from home for the first time and all that. You're not the first person to take some time exploring what you like.

I don't think it's for me, either, but that's the only talent I have that's even close to a profession.

Magic is kind of new to me as well, so I'm just... in-between everything right now. Just trying to figure out what my life is.

'Certainly is a first. There were those dragons too, moons back, they asked for our help though the eggs...there was something to their scent, I noticed. 'Made you need to care for them. It was sly but no where near the level of throwin' people into cages.

[ His brow furrows, eyes glinting at the word. ]

It's hard to say. 'Hope not.

Really? I didn't have one, but friends did. That sounds... a bit sinister, to be honest.

[ He remembers how sad Kairon had been about leaving his little dragon. ]

[ Cehd'ra shrugs. ]

'Could've just been how dragon eggs are rather than anything the dragons did. Either way it was their young at stake. It's hard for me to hold anything against them because'v that.

[ Though he was reluctant to say goodbye to the dragon he'd raised too though for Cehd'ra parenthood's a complicated thing. It was easy enough for him to realize Tili would be better off among her own kind. Even if he still catches himself thinking about her now and then. ]

Connie!! Oh, how nostalgic. I used to have a very dear friend named Connie! ...well, I suppose he was more of a follower than a friend. But still, what a coincidence!

Was he your servant?

[ 'Follower' sounds odd. ]

No, nothing like that. We were classmates who both enrolled in the Magnostadt Academy during the final term of the year. I suppose he found my facility with magic and family connections impressive, so he became a great supporter. He would always cheer me on no matter what, and do all kinds of things for my sake without my even asking! [ ...in other words, he was a sycophant who saw the opportunity to jump on the bandwagon of a rich, powerful aristocrat and grabbed it with both hands. but titus is certain there was some genuine care between them!! ]

Ah, I wonder if he is doing well now. It has been quite a while.

[Maybe carriage isn't the exact word she'd use to describe the Lions, but it works in this instance.]

[ There were so many things there that were so very different from what he was used to, but every time he learned something new, it was exciting.

[His response to that last question isn't terribly inspiring, but then she wasn't really expecting it to be. Magic is something she knows very little about, probably because there's never been much of a need for her to look into it.]

Yeah, the wizards can, like I said. They just study spells until the understand how they work, I guess? I was taught by one for about a month, not much more, and she didn't tell me much about her own power, just helped me understand mine.
