I've a question and your cycle—moon—whatever you wish to call it—is irrelevant.

How you do handle traits you acquire that could potentially be harmful to others, or to yourself? A good example of this might be if you grow horns and don't want to gore anyone who comes near you or sleeps next to you. Another example of this might be if you acquire serpent traits and possibly have some form of venomous accompaniment. Not that I know how that would work.

But you get the point, I'm sure. I'm not asking for any specific reason other than curiosity, so please, indulge me.

I mean, of course I must have friends. I had many friends when I was in the Round Table and growing up. Family, cousins and coworkers and all the relationships those bonds can spawn.

[He laughs though.] I mean, I always give people the wrong impression, but I feel no shame in this case.

Of course, Midna doesn't usually care about the impressions other people have either, unless they start assuming she has feelings or something like that. Spending company with gentleman tends to get people talking, however.]

Relatives are different, Gawain. Those aren't the same things as friends. [Listen to her trying to be the expert.] Although I suppose you would have had friends. You're much too charming to be without. And... I suppose I could be called a friend. If that's what you wished.

[HE can't help but beam now, because despite the growing closeness to them, this feels like a victory, to have such simple acceptance from her.]

I am told that sometimes I am too difficult to deal with, but yes, I did have good friends through the years, though duty still came first. I would definitely wish to count you among my closet friends. I take great pride in knowing you.

I will admit you have me there. If more of my fellow knights were here, I would indeed brag about your loveliness. And might even need duel them because of it.

Hahaha! A romance novel? I could only hope to be so impressive as someone like that.

[Really he's not in many ways. Sure, as a knight he does echo some of the archetypes found in such stories. But in other ways he falls quite flat. But he can't ponder for long when she is so delighted.]

[After the amount of time that they have spent together, it's easy to tell when she's amused. And it's even more delightful to hear.]
