Hello, lovelies.
I've a question and your cycle—moon—whatever you wish to call it—is irrelevant.

How you do handle traits you acquire that could potentially be harmful to others, or to yourself? A good example of this might be if you grow horns and don't want to gore anyone who comes near you or sleeps next to you. Another example of this might be if you acquire serpent traits and possibly have some form of venomous accompaniment. Not that I know how that would work.

But you get the point, I'm sure. I'm not asking for any specific reason other than curiosity, so please, indulge me.

Your friends sound like they had a difficult time. Have. I've heard some have difficulty controlling their mental... faculties during the cycles. It doesn't sound like you have anything to concern about there, but your larger friends, was that ever a concern for them?

I don't think Reinhardt would hurt a fly. He's a big man, but I... I dunno, he's just. Jolly.
Iris people don't usually get aggressive. We want to cuddle and care for others.

[She pauses, slightly annoyed by how accurate Otacon is. It's actually one of the things she's most frustrated about during that cycle. She actually wants to be close to people.]

I am, as well. I didn't realise we shared similar traits.

How are you finding it?
People I've met who are Iris seem to be okay with it. Except one that it seemed like it shouldn't be their moon.

I find it to be a nuisance. I've fared better than others I've met, but I'd like to not be affected by any moon cycle if I could help it. Admittedly, sometimes I don't feel much like myself. The lack of familiarity doesn't please me.

What a dark way to put it, but accurate. [He doesn't even know her and got pretty much all of her in one go. That's a little unnerving.] You make it sound like being here is a grand gift we're being bestowed, though. Was your own world really so terribly off?

No. I had everything, except the ability to love without fear of how much it hurt.
I guess I just appreciate not having it for a little while.
I just exist, as myself, without everything else weighing me down.

...That's probably one of the more profound things I've heard since I've been here, and it summarises a bit of why I have liked being here. If this place is making you happy, then more power to you. I hope it continues to. Sounds like you could use a bit of that.

It's giving me something, that's for sure.
Good memories, a second chance.
Kindness and warmth without something being behind it.
Getting to meet all kinds of people I never would be able to normally.
And I know my daughter's fine, back home, due to time... stuff.
It's like a vacation away from online dating and anxiety.

[It's interesting because he says some things that she's said. To others. To herself. For some people, Lunatia really is like a vacation. It's a dangerous way of thinking and feeling, but nevertheless true.]

I'm having a hard time arguing against most of that. I understand that for many people, Lunatia comes with opportunity. I'm not exempt from that either. There are many things I've learned here that I wouldn't have been able to if I hadn't been brought. And there are many people I've met, as well. Unforgettable types of people.
