[Voice] - About Moon Cycle Antics...
[Midna does not make much use out of the network, but figures she has a question and doesn't want her face attached to it, in the event that anyone puts two and two together and realises she's actually asking for a little assistance. In the most subtle way she can muster, anyway.]
Hello, lovelies.
I've a question and your cycle—moon—whatever you wish to call it—is irrelevant.
How you do handle traits you acquire that could potentially be harmful to others, or to yourself? A good example of this might be if you grow horns and don't want to gore anyone who comes near you or sleeps next to you. Another example of this might be if you acquire serpent traits and possibly have some form of venomous accompaniment. Not that I know how that would work.
But you get the point, I'm sure. I'm not asking for any specific reason other than curiosity, so please, indulge me.

[Does she not, she wonders? It's not as though Midna's exactly a soldier of any kind. Not helpless either and rather powerful at the core of things, but... Well. Maybe it's that she's just extremely lazy and would rather avoid the trouble.]
That's interesting insight. I'm having a hard time disagreeing with it, though every situation would be extremely circumstantial. I wonder, do you see things in mostly black and white?
no subject
[Neither does her follow up question prompt much of a pause for thought. He certainly doesn't sound like he's taking it any more seriously.]
Things either are, or they're not, right? If your answer to that question changes just because the situation does, then you didn't give the right answer.
no subject
[But then it's not like she knows very much about him. She hasn't asked. Not out of no desire to know, but rather because it's rather easy to get distracted in his presence. Maybe because he makes her laugh.]
I'm still not sure I agree with you. Part of me does, but the other part of me knowing how circumstantial things can be has to admit that I don't always have the answer to every situation. Maybe I'll just come to you if I have an issue. Sounds like you've an answer to everything.

A nephew, too. Regular old sticks in the mud the lot of them, but push comes to shove, they'll come through for you.
[Is that something fond creeping into his voice? He clears his throat.]
Hey, it's what I do, anyway. Fix problems. Granted those problems usually have something to do with demons trying to drag themselves out of the Underworld -- or humans into it -- but I'm sure I could be persuaded to make sure a certain lovely lady stays out of trouble.
no subject
[She sounds surprised. Even... A bit envious actually. So many people she knows have others from their world with them. There aren't as many who seem to be as she is.
For a moment, once more, Midna feels a pang of loneliness. And she stomps it down.]
That must be nice, if not a little troublesome...
[He continues and she finds herself chuckling a little.]
This certain lady may like a little trouble. Maybe you should get into some with her?
no subject
[He doesn't really think about whether Trish falls into that category, but her and Lady are as good as family, as far as he's concerned. Kyrie, too, really, considering. In any case, Midna, don't worry. He won't rub it in your face. Promise.]
Probably for the best for everyone involved. Still gotta keep my eye on Vergil, and the scenery's way better here than the Underworld.
[Is he trying to drum up her interest on purpose? Probably. Is it working?
Well, he's gonna pause and consider that invitation.]
Maybe I should. Really wouldn't do to leave a lady hanging.
[A shame Midna can't see that wink, casanova.]
no subject
The Underworld, hmm? Sounds like you have a story to tell. So what do I need to do to get my hands on it? I don't suppose mesmerising you with my beauty will work.
[Although it seems that has like an 80% success rate.]
no subject
Guess I could be persuaded to tell a tale to a gorgeous babe sitting in my lap.
[Why look when you can touch?
I'm sorry.]no subject
Straddling people in the heat of the moment doesn't count, so.
Zero?
It never even occurred to her that she could sit in someone's lap without it being the heat of the moment.]
Mmm...
That sounds pretty doable. I suppose you should pay me visit sometime soon, then. Take me on a nice date and set the mood or something.
no subject
Demons who were really trying to kill him at the time don't count.
Still, every glimpse of Midna or tease from her honestly has the very real danger of making him feel and act like the teenage boy he'll probably always be at heart, so. I hope you like grown ass men chasing you around like a puppy, Midna.]
You know, I was thinking the same thing. Trouble is, I'm not sure I know what you'd think a nice date would be. Little help?
no subject
His question garners from her a pause and she hums thoughtfully. What is her idea of a nice date? Considering dating isn't really a thing in the Twilight, it's really only in Lunatia that she's been exposed to it.
She squints and shuffles on her end.]
Night time is best. Or sometime when the sun isn't out. [Please. For her sake.] I've heard the observatory is a place I should go see sometime. Somehow I haven't found my way there yet.
I like to play games, though. Like those... the bright ones. [...Arcade games?] I'd like to go to that petting zoo at some point, too. [BECAUSE MAYBE THERE MIGHT BE A WOLF? PLEASE BE A WOLF.]
no subject
Right up until she mentions the games. The bright one?]
The Arcade? You haven't been yet?
[Hang on that was a little incredulous. He clears his throat.]
Or, you know, we could go to all three.
no subject
[When he offers up all three, she laughs.]
If you give it to me all at once, how will you keep me coming back for more?
no subject
It's all in the stamina, babe.
no subject
Is this a euphemism? Dante, you're so bad.]
G-goodness. You're making my expectations raise a great deal. I already had high standards for who I share company with.
no subject
Petting zoo first, right? Since I'm sure they'll close earliest. Then we can hit the arcade and I'll point you to the best cabinets. And once we've tired ourselves out? We'll hit up the observatory, and just take in the night sky.
What do you say?
no subject
[He means to tire her out and that is, in fact, not a euphemism. Yet.]
I think... that sounds nice. You sure it's not going to tire you out? I mean, I suppose if it does, you can have a little nap with me. I do like cuddling on occasion.
[When she's the one instigating it, anyway.]
no subject
[Except, more accurately, never. Still, there's that nearly audible wink, to accompany it. If it's possible, his bravado only cranks up a notch.]
Me? No need to worry about tiring me out, babe. And hey, if a lady has a mind to get cozy, who am I turn down a chance to snuggle up? Whether it's a nap or a story, I'm always available to get comfortable.
no subject
[Dante wouldn't likely know perfection if it bit him, though...]
It sounds like you owe me a date then. If you tell me when and where and ask me seductively, I'll probably show up.
no subject
[Said with that easy confidence and without hesitation. And no, he wouldn't know perfection. Not by most people's definition anyway. By his defnition, though, he's certain Midna is just that.
He clears his throat and lowers his voice, such that there's more gravel in it. And then he goes Extra.]
Resplendent Midna, wouldst thou grant me thy time for an evening, that we might pass the gentle evening in each other's company?
no subject
Nah.
He can't possibly mean it like that. Midna is so far from romantic—except in special circumstance—that she'll likely disappoint him right off to bat. No. He's definitely kidding. So she does finally decide to laugh.]
You mean that we might pass the gentle evening in each others' arms, right? Yes, I think I already agreed to this. You keep talking like that, however, and someone's going to think we're courting or something.
[It's not what she'd call seductive, but it's one hell of an effective method. He's got her attention.]
no subject
When she laughs, he just chuckles, not the least offended. And no, she's not far off the mark, though he does offer the quick,]
Hey, hey. Only if thou doth want them. I promise I canst keep mine own limbs to myself if thou wouldst rather enjoy mine lap in peace.
[And of course there's still that hint of suggestion in his voice. But really, he could ham up this flowery nonsense all day. He's stolen enough of his brother's books to know how. Even if he probably doesn't completely grasp what he's saying.]
Verily, others wilst think as they wish. I care only for my lady's thoughts on the matter.
no subject
You can put your hands wherever you like, provided you ask first. I kind of like being in control most of the time. [Exceptions apply. They always do.]
So you should take me someplace nice. Someplace quiet and private. While I'm not necessarily against making others jealous, I'm beginning to understand that there is such a thing as too much attention. And really, I'd like to just have yours on me for a little without any distractions. No festivities. No others watching us. You get it.
