Text: Moonblessings or Curses
UN: Shoto
I've been here for two months now. Ten moon cycles, if you count each individual cycle, and then the triple moon as its own cycle. My friends have gotten animal parts, new abilities, personality changes...I've seen a little of everything. But I haven't had any changes at all, myself.
I know that not every cycle is the same, and that it's sometimes stronger or weaker for some reason, but I don't know anyone who's never had anything happen.
So, I guess that's my question: is there anyone else out there who still hasn't figured out what their moonblessing is because they haven't changed? Or should I start getting worried?
[Someone please reassure this boy that he's not broken and isn't about to be sent back for being faulty merchandise, ok.]

Did you have any non-physical changes?
no subject
Not really? At least, I didn't notice any, besides the stuff with an easy answer, like those drinks at the casino down in the Lightless. But then, there's always been something happening, so maybe I just haven't noticed.

[And then he got to pay for it this last month with a vengeance...]

[Well, if it took All Might a few cycles...]
But this is two months, not two cycles. I just... don't want to be unprepared. Whether it happens or not.

Besides, there's probably plenty of people who will respond and tell you they've been going through the same thing. Even if comparing yourself to others isn't the way to go at all, yeah?

But you're right. I'm still generating chroma, at least...

I heard that people can visit the moons, and whichever moon you feel the most calm and at ease on is your moon.
no subject
Really? Just visit the moons and see which one I feel the most calm on...I guess it wouldn't be that hard. After all, we all came from Iris, right? It's not a hard trip...
Have you tried it?

I'm sure the reasoning could be anything, or the changes may be so subtle you just haven't noticed. I fall under the violet moon, Iris. I do often display the traits of a deer, myself, but the emotional changes that come with it are sometimes simply an increase in my own typically protective behavior. And it's slight. There is little to really tell otherwise if I wasn't aware it was one of the side effects and preempted it.
Some people just want to eat more sweets, or go shopping, and these are all such minor urges they're easy to overlook.
When we met at the festival, I felt the chroma created between us, didn't you? :)
You're just fine, Shoto. I promise.
So long as you don't deplete the chroma already within you, the physical appearance doesn't matter.
They're quite the hassle, really! Antlers can give you quite an awful headache with the weight.
But you're always welcome to come by my clinic if you ever want to be certain. I can try to help you ascertain one way or another, as well.

Thanks, Dr. Ziegler. Maybe there was something small, and I just wasn't paying enough attention, or didn't think it had anything to do with the moon cycle...
Actually, I was planning to come by, anyway. I was learning some basic first aid back home, but since I've been here, I haven't really been able to find a teacher.

Hello, Shoto. I have been studying the Moonblessed and Moonblessing effects at the Lunar Scientia. It is indeed not entirely out of the realm of possibility to not experience any obvious changes during the cycles. Though I will say that sometimes they may potentially be masked in some way.
If you don't mind, would you be willing to tell me a bit more about yourself?
no subject
I wouldn't mind, but the public network seems...[Public????]...not the right place for that. Did you want to know something in particular?

I know it's kind of stupid to worry about. I should probably be grateful.

I never got any animal parts or anything until recently, but I started getting like... super hungry during the Cordis moon cycle, so, that was how I figured it out. No matter how much I ate it was like nothing was ever enough.
You haven't felt anything different or off? Even a little?
no subject
I mean, I'm always hungry. And tired. So that's not really any different?
