Text: Moonblessings or Curses

I've been here for two months now. Ten moon cycles, if you count each individual cycle, and then the triple moon as its own cycle. My friends have gotten animal parts, new abilities, personality changes...I've seen a little of everything. But I haven't had any changes at all, myself.

I know that not every cycle is the same, and that it's sometimes stronger or weaker for some reason, but I don't know anyone who's never had anything happen.

So, I guess that's my question: is there anyone else out there who still hasn't figured out what their moonblessing is because they haven't changed? Or should I start getting worried?

[Someone please reassure this boy that he's not broken and isn't about to be sent back for being faulty merchandise, ok.]

I wouldn't mind.

[It's definitely a smarter idea to go with other people. And he is smart! Except for the times when he's really dumb. He's a teenage boy with superpowers, sometimes it's pure genetics that make you yeet yourself headfirst into danger.]

Can I ask which one turned out to be yours?

Cordis. So far, I get wings and pheromones every moon cycle. During the last Cordis cycle, it gave me some ice powers, too.

[Which also meant some "fun" accidents, such as freezing her drink and those of people near her.]

That might be...difficult. If you're not used to them. But I guess it's that way with all of these powers.

At least the ice would be pretty normal for me.

I don't hate the wings. I have to wear backless dresses to make room for them, but they are somewhat pretty and I like their texture.

Can you fly?

[Maybe they're decorative! But honestly those kind of wings would be sort of amazing??]

Really? I haven't met that many people yet with my kind of abilities. Ones they don't call magic, I mean. Just natural abilities. I can use ice and fire. I guess that might be part of what's making it hard to tell which moonblessing I have, too.

I can, although flying isn't a new ability for me. It's just a different method.

[One that thankfully consumes less chroma, so she can't say she hates the wings that much.]

It could be. That's two of three moons covered, and if you're used to them, you wouldn't have an accident with them like I did. I accidentally froze my drink.

If you need help figuring it out--it might work differently from my quirk, but ice can be a little tricky. I can give you some tips next Cordis cycle, if you want.

[Flying though. That would be pretty cool. Maybe if he ends up with wings, it won't be so bad...he's just hoping he doesn't end up as something super questionable.]

I'd like that. I can take you flying as thanks, if you'd like. I have a way of using the wind that can let someone fly with me just by sitting close to me.

[Since he seems to be interested in it and her wings, she might as well offer that rather than moonlacing via handholding. She's not shy about minor physical contact with such a directly mutually beneficial purpose, but she's only ever offered in person with people who've had some need to moonlace.]

[That would be two of them. It's a little easier with friends, but otherwise he's only ever moonlaced with people who've had a need for it. Her offer is a nice one though, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested.]

You don't have to, but if you don't mind, that sounds good. I'd like to try it.
