I guess something happened to separate you two before now? I'm glad you were able to reunite. It must have been really tough.

Yes. I had to leave him with his father, and there are many times I regretted the decision.

I'll never get the time back, but I'm glad to have the time now.

That's good. I'm sure you had good reason to leave, and hopefully he understands that. But it sounds like he did.
