My name is Usagi Tsukino! And I totally need some help! You see, one of my bestest best friends, Ami Mizuno, well her birthday is this month! The 10th for any of you who are friends with her too!

Aaanyway! So, I wanna get her like, the PERFECT gift cause I mean, this is her birthday we're talking about! And we're away from all of our friends from home and so I wanna do something special to help make her smile. But the thing is... Ami-chan is brilliant, like, just absolutely 1000% awesomely smart! And super-duper sweet and polite. She's such an amazing girl. And while I could get her a book cause she loves them, I don't want to cause well, what if she already read it, and I can get her a book anytime, ya know? She reads books the way everyone breathes! No no, see this gift has to be special!

And see, the thing is... um... I don't know what a super-duper brilliant girl would want.. well I mean I do know what she likes and would want, but again perfect gift here, people, that's what we're going for here. She likes computers and reading, swimming, and water. I've already got dinner planned [For those who know Usagi, fret not, she is not cooking.] I've got our day planned where we're gonna go to the aquarium. But I need that cherry on top, ya know?

So, for all you geniuses out there, what would be the perfect gift in your opinion?

Thank you, I'm really glad too... Ami is one of the sweetest people there is, I hope you get a chance to meet her.

Coffee? Um, well, I don't think she hates it but she prefers tea more than anything else.

I... really... I guess a book IS a good idea, but it just seems so obvious ya know? Oh you like to read? Here's a book! And another book and another and another for every birthday and Christmas.

I hope so too! I guess I asked about coffee since I am biased about it...but tea, maybe you could make her a blend yourself? I could at least show you how to mix a few flavors together like I do with coffee...

I guess it depends what type of book you give her. Maybe something for field notes? Personally I like reading and if someone gave me a book, I'd be happy. Especially if my friend picked one...it makes they put some thought about what they'd like to share with me.

Alternately, a bathing suit? Or maybe a nice bath towel, the colors she likes.

Oh! She would love her own tea blend! Ren-kuuun, you are so awesome and that would be such a nice personal gift! How did you learn to make your own tea blends? That's so cool!

She loves to read, like I said, she reads the way everyone else breathes. And it's not... that I wouldn't want to get her a book, she'd love it. But it just seems... it's an OBVIOUS gift, ya know?

Life figuring out what coffee flavors go well together; practise makes perfect! You can get inspired by the local blends then see what works best. There are a few tea shops that will sell you raw ingredients that you can mix together. I had someone very important to me show me how to make a perfect cup of coffee. It's a knowledge that I enjoy sharing with others when I can...although I've promised to keep his curry recipe a secret!

Hmmmm... [He strokes his chin.] ...what if you give her a book, but it's actually a box where she can put some secret items inside? That way she can hide it in plain sight?

Ooooh a secret stash hider. I like it. You think they have those here or I'll have to figure out a way to get one made? [Usagi is not deluding herself in thinking she can be the one to make it.]

Well you could buy a box of some kind and then paint it to look like a book. I know someone who might be able to help you out or at least give us tips on how to do it.

I'll see if I can find a storage store or something, see if they already have one! But if not, can I have your friend's name?

Kanji Tatsumi. He might look frightening at first, but don't let appearances deceive you! He can make the most amazing pieces of clothing and other fine craft items.

Actually maybe you could ask him to make something for her that's tailored to what she likes?
