[ Shino gets the camera rolling, and backs up, leaning forward and looking to where the light is, leaving him looking off camera. ]

The blinking light means it's on, right? [ He breathes out in a huff, straightening up and reaching for the table at his side. His fingers linger there, pressed against barely visible pieces of paper. ] Okay, so I don't know how to show pictures I've drawn except like this, and I have a few people that aren't here but might show up sometime, so if anyone sees them, I'd appreciate you letting me know.

[ He picks up the first, then shows each of them, one after another. ]


This is my little sister, Hamaji. And this is my older brother, Sousuke. They're the most important that I know about right away. Hamaji wears black dresses with lace and sturdy heeled shoes, and Sousuke is usually dressed like he's part of the church. You can find him in buttondown shirts, too, like this. [ He lets the drawings be lowered to show the white buttondown he's wearing. The pictures are set on the table, and he gathers up the next few. ] Then there might be one of these guys...


This is Kobungo, Genpachi, and Keno. They're the people who'd most likely want to find me. Genpachi might be in or out of military uniform? Kobungo is sometimes in his inn uniform. Keno always tends to dress traditionally.

[ These are set back on the table, his hand lingering on the surface. He looks to his last drawing, seems to frown, then picks it up to show the camera anyway. Once there, the dog is clearly given more depth to their eyes than literally any of the people, and that's... for reasons! ]


Then there's this guy, Rio Satomi, who'll probably be frowning and angry, because if I can't stand being here, he's going to hate it even more. I guess you could tell me if you see him, too.

[ All the pictures are now back on the table, and a crow, who had been off camera for most this, hops in camera and starts prodding at the drawings while Shino addresses the camera. ]

[ He smiles, waving at the camera, as the crow picks up a drawing and attempts to fly away, over the camera, leading to Shino darting forward, hitting his comm, sending it flopped flat to film darkness as he calls out for Murasame to drop that, don't eat the drawing, you stupid bird, and then a fumbling click as the feed finally ends. ]

[ Who is this guy. Why is he so unhelpful?! Shino's obviously frowning by the time he replies, with a crow held under his arm and looking grumpily at the camera alongside him. ]

Look, I didn't say I could draw, but this is better than trying to just say what they look like! No one has the same idea of what you're talking about when you try. If you can do better, then do better, but don't insult me for doing what I can!

[Konoha doesn't usually comment on these things, but... She can sympathize with this post. A lot. So she tries, turning on her own video. Is she sitting on a horse while she responds, because that's definitely an equine rump behind her?]

[ With the number of times he's run into Genpachi when he was riding patrol, he doesn't even find being addressed from horseback (???) at all strange. Instead, he smiles again, only this time with slightly more awry hair and a crow held under his arm, no evidence of whatever paper the crow'd been flying away with. ]

Thank you, Konoha! They kind of know how to use phones, but not ones like these. Is there anyone you want me to watch out for, too?

[ A give and take of making sure he's making the offer, and Murasame somewhat balefully staring at the screen because he knows that any descriptions Shino's given are ones he'll need to remember too. Not that he objects; it's just part and parcel of being bound to Shino in the first place. He's a scout and messenger bird! ]

You're welcome... It's the least we can do for each other here, when the city is so big and we never know who might show up, or where...

Any jinba, I guess... ? It seems like a lot of worlds don't have them, or think they're just stories or something, so... maybe if one comes they'll be from my world!

That's what I was thinking. It'd be nice if we could just run into the people we want to see most, but what are the chances of that? It's already insanely lucky we're all being brought down to this city! ... We are only being brought to this city, right?

[ That's what he thought they'd been told, but who knows, did he hear wrong?! ]

Jinba? [ On it's own, not a word that makes a lot of sense, but as a kind of breaking it down... his free hand holds his chin as he thinks about it. A different ayakashi? ] That's what you are, then? I mean, if you tell me what to watch out for, then sure. I'll be happy to!

[ When Shino's answering, the camera angle is just about what it was before, and his hair is a little tousled, while the crow who'd been flying away is firmly under an arm. He's picking up one drawing that has been crinkled and drooled on, looking down at it with a furrowed brow. ]

Actually, Yatsufusa might be bigger than that. He's definitely bigger than that.

[If he notes the captured crow or finds it odd at all he doesn't comment on it, instead just looking impressed.]

Well I think if he does show up people would definitely notice pretty quickly. Even here a creature that large wouldn't go without comment, you know?

[ The crow seems to be taking being football carried in stride, more watching the camera with a slightly angled head than anything else. ]

I guess? I don't know if he would end up here or not, and even if he does, he's not always something you see... unless he wants to be. But if anyone did see him around, then Rio would have to be here too.

[ Shino shrugs, and amusingly enough, the crow in his arms appears to be attempting to mirror the motion. ]

He's too big back home too, but it makes him great for naps, if you can get away with it.

[ Shino, why are you trying to nap on a dog god. (Because he is a dog.) ]

Don't call him stupid! [ yes, he is here for bird rights!! ]

[ Shino, when back on camera, looks more ruffled than before, his hair no longer falling in neat, straight lines, and with said stupid bird tucked up under his arm. It takes him a moment to figure out what this guy's even responding to, and then he looks at Murasame under his arm and snorts. What. ]

He's stupid when he tries to eat what he shouldn't! He knows better, it's not like he can't help himself.

[ Said bird, tucking his head closer to his chest and thus creating a sunken, feathery sort of look, grouses: ]

Rude dog.

[ Which might have been for any one of the drawings, might have been for Shino, or might be the demon commenting on the world at large. It's anyone's guess! ]

[ huaisang is about to speak in the bird's defence again when - oh, oh. ] IT TALKS?

[ Shino and Murasame share a look, which on Shino's face reads more like: whoops. ]

His name is Murasame.

[ The bird fluffs up a little... and then proceeds to groom his wing. ]

No, but I'm worried at least a few of them will be too stubborn to ask directly and insist on doing things the hard way.

If they want to do things the hard way, that's their prerogative, not ours. [ What an unhelpful asshole. He's not even that invested, but he also can't keep his opinions to himself because his ego is probably bigger than this entire planet. ]

Besides, knowing that they have someone that'll always save their ass will only encourage them to keep on being stubborn.

And that's stupid. Knowing you have someone to help save you gives you the strength to keep fighting. If they're being stubborn, you handle that. The two don't have to be related.

I don't think so, but it's possible. But this whole paper format stays up where anyone can find it, doesn't it? At least one or two of them might think to read back and see if anyone's posted any relevant notices.

[ Rio might, or Sousuke might. Grudgingly, he admits Rio is most likely certainly to do so. He hopes if he does, he's suitably impressed by Shino's admirably drawing of him and his associated dog god.

Shino doesn't so much as blink at the familiar use of his name: pretty much everyone calls him Shino. Inuzuka who? Forget that guy, whoever he is. ]

Doppo? He'll be taller than me, at least. [ Said with a hint of a grimace, but not much; he's taking information in, not complaining about being shafted in the height department and asking people to confirm he's not done growing, right? ] What kind of team are you on together? Sports? Military?

[ Except freaking Sousuke. Of course! All dogs are, but it's just unfair! He says to himself, as if he hasn't napped on a certain dog god because of /handwaves, he's a tired, not-growing boy, okay?! ]
