In person ... you don't have to exchange contact details if you're just going to respond to someone; say, a person on the street asks you for directions. Just type something in your notes, and show them the screen. Each dialogue or response would take a few edits, but this way, you don't always have to obtain their contact details if you don't want to. Does that make sense?

I think text would be the most convenient and portable, the second being gestures and pictograms if necessary, and then paper. Nobody really uses slate and chalk anymore.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of a world did you come from? Can you tell me a little bit about it?

Of course.
Hallownest is the eternal kingdom of the Wyrm, a being of pale light who expanded the minds of bug and beast by His grace and presence.

[Who is dead now, it thought, the breath of words sliding uneasily over the depths of void in itself. Its hands trembled just a little. ]

uNder His guidance, the wild lands were shaped into a place of wonder. The Stagways were dug, the trams were built, and peace was reached with the war-like tribes of the Fungal Wastes, the Beasts of Deepnest, and the denizens of the Hive. The Wyrm created the City of Tears, whose every wrought metal, every shaped glass, was crafted to flow with the endless rain and channel it further under the earth. The Royal Waterways were created, to channel that water where it would do no damage. The Ancient Basin became the site of the magnificent White Palace, where the Wyrm and His beloved Root would live, when she did not retire to the Queen's Gardens.
