[ Hi, Lunatia. Have a somewhat bored looking woman here, sort of gong bonkers sitting in this new apartment or exploring at random. She isn't good with this whole preventing herself from going stir crazy thing, but has for once opted to reach out and take other people's recommendations instead of meddling her way through. ]
So far as settling in here, I need a few things. I was hoping someone might be able to offer me a good suggestion or two to look in to on a few items so that this isn't.. quite so jarring.
[ Spoilers : it'll be jarring no matter what going from a glassed-in, engineered Utopia to a nuclear wasteland to a place that's not too far off Romdeau barring, you know. Lack of social and genetic engineering. So hey, up and up.
Long, pale fingers are counted on as she goes through her items: ]
One, I need a place to shop for clothing. I can't keep wearing these things every day.
Two, I'm going to need a place to train or, maybe, a trainer. Getting back in to a fitness routine now that I'm not on the Rabbit every day will be an improvement, I think.
Three... [ She pauses, seems to waver on this one, and finally comes out with it as if it's begrudging : ] ...I guess I'm going to have to learn to cook at least somewhat. Without Iggy or Vincent I'm at a loss, here. So, if anyone can give me instructions past a 'pinch' of salt in water for noodles, I'd appreciate it.
If anyone has anything to offer on any of these I'd appreciate it.
[ A curt little nod, and the video ends. ]

I can't really help with the training thing, but PrismaPlace, that big mall on Level 1, and Caihong, the really busy market district on Level 3, both sell clothes. Level 1 would probably have closer things to what you're wearing now, though.
And I do know how to cook a little bit, so I could try to help you with that, though it's easier if I know what kind of stuff you like to eat. [Assuming she even knows, given what she mentioned about her previous circumstances.]

I might shop both just to see what they have... [ Let it not be said that Re-L doesn't like to shop - if she still had the kind of money she did in Romdeau she'd be on an absolute tear right about now. As it stands she just wants out of the clothes she's been wearing since she left Romdeau to go and find Vincent.
Even small steps are better than none, right? ]
For now let's not put any limits on it.. though I have found that sweet things aren't necessarily my wheelhouse.
no subject
Sweet things aren't too hard to avoid in normal cooking...I guess I could teach you some of the more basic stuff, like meat with vegetables and omelettes and stuff. If you at least know how to cook things like eggs and meats, you can make a pretty big variety of things.
no subject
It wouldn't hurt, no. [ She's willing to admit that, at least. But at the same time... breaking out of habits is a little bit difficult to do, say nothing of comfort zones like what colored clothing she preferred to wear when it comes down to it. Give her a bit of time, and she'll figure it out a little. ]
It's better than absolutely nothing, at any rate. Or relying on different restaurants around here.
[ Not to say she won't go out there and do that... she has a lot of food to explore, after all. ]

been hitting the gym i'm not sure if that's what will help you train but it's better than nothing
what do you generally eat
no subject
Spicy subject? Sounds interesting.
A gym would be suitable enough but I think I work best when held accountable. Especially with so much food choice around here.
My choices were much more restricted in Romdeau but here... I do know that I don't have a taste for doughnuts, however. Too sweet.

im sure someone can help be your sparring partner here but a gym might not be a bad start
i can't do anything fancy but i could probably show you some things i guess. you ever have italian?
no subject
If they're just alright is it really worth the trip? Other than if you're saying some parts are fine and others aren't. Then I understand at least.
Honestly I'm not too sure. i usually just had whatever Iggy prepared or where ever I met with Daedalus for dinner, which was usually the Cradle and they didn't really label their foods with that sort of thing.
Who knows if they even still know, considering how long it's been with Domes.

It really depends on your style, but there's heaps of shops in PrismaPlace! And Caihong have some stores with different types of styles.
no subject
I'm open to trying different things. [ Might as well, now that she has the chance, right? Bright colors and frills will probably still not be her thing, but she mat give it the good old college 'try' so to speak. There's a part of her that wants to ask about the ears, etc, but.. she stops herself.
At least for the moment. ]
More than likely, though, I'm going to default to black.
no subject
[Unless she wears all black, then... okay. It's not his style, and it's her choice in the end.]
Well, I usually wear red, but lots of stores would have black clothes. It usually can match with almost any colours.

[In case it's not obvious two syllables in, this man has a hell of a Texan accent.]
I'm used to cookin' on my own. Usually had to do it for either myself, or a crew of about eight other fellas. If you don't mind a little southern cuisine, I can get ya some recipes.
no subject
[ For a girl who has no idea what Texas is... yeah. The accent sort of quirks her interest for a moment. A brow raises and her head tips slightly, as if a bit amused. ]
I've never had any, so consider me interested. I only know I don't like doughnuts here.

I can't so much as boil water so it's an improvement.
Better than beans and dressing, too, I would imagine.

It's.. not how that sounds. [ Okay, she knows what a rabbit is and sounds like, so there's a good idea of what they're thinking - ]
It's an air ship that's for some reason called the Rabbit.

...What kind of fitness routines are typical for those who regularly ride air ships?

It's a nickname for the air ship... The long form is the 'Centzon Totochtin', which literally means 'Four-Hundred Rabbits.'
For the sake of not having to say 'Centzon Totochtin' every time we call the ship The Rabbit.

As for training, I can help you with that. I'm not sure what "Rabbit" is. [ One of those "app" things, she bets. ] I can do strength training, but I'm also adept in Muay Thai, Savate, and Wing Chun among other fighting styles. Assuming it means anything to you.
Cooking advice: sugar will cut acidity. If you're making a tomato sauce, add a pinch or two. Not much of a cook and not sure how viable it'll be to eat out all the time for you, but there's no shame in not being a chef.
If you ask me, anyway.
no subject
My preferences aren't that difficult. Black, well fitted. Preferably not too short for me in the pants legs.
It's an air ship. Not worth explaining right here and now - but it's nothing that's conducive to a good work out, even to tire yourself out, in the close quarters of it. Past 'strength training' you've lost me, but I suppose I ought to say that I'm stronger than I appear. In fairness, and all.
I don't even want to be a chef. Just adept enough to feed myself, when need be.
no subject
No problem. I previously was with the military and it's really only suited to things like push-ups. Not bad, but not the ideal for most people.
I guess it can be hard to gauge what we all might know collectively. Something that seems like it might be universal might not be. I guess the best way I can explain is I'm more about speed and quick movements versus raw strength. I have plenty of knowledge in other types of fighting, but it's not something I tend to personally use.
Then it sounds like you and me are on the same page in that, as well. :)
