[A young lady with white horns poking through her bright pink hair appears to be sitting in her Level 2 apartment, with a galaxy backdrop. She fidgets in her seat.]

My name is Nyuu, but some of you may know me as Lucy. If I'm acting different, I can explain, um... [She wrings her hands around in her lap.] There's really no other way for me to say this without making it more confusing, but I have a split personality. The one called Lucy is asleep right now.

[As her eyes become downcast, she takes a deep breath.]

This is something I only learned about a year ago, and I'm still trying to figure things out, but I wanted to warn everyone about Lucy. I've heard in the past that she's... [the lump in her throat goes down] She's killed people before.

[A sad sigh as she sags in her seat.]

I swear I have no control over it, but I'll understand if any of you see me as a dangerous liability after this. That's all I had to say.

But I don't want anyone else to get hurt, either. As a police detective, it's practically my duty, pal!

[Pal?]

Oh, so that's why you volunteered to arrest Lucy.

[She flashes a tiny smile before her expression becomes serious again.]

Arresting her won't be too simple, though. If you arrest her, you'll arrest me as well since we share this body. Although...

[A small sigh]

I have woken up in jail once before thanks to Lucy.

[Thankfully, someone bailed her out that same morning.]

[trenchdoting]

That's right! Detective Gumshoe's the name, and arresting people's one of my games!

[Then he pauses, frowning as he realizes her logic.]

Oh... You make a good point! If you two're the same, I'd be arresting an innocent person if I arrested her. That'd be unacceptable! [A beat.] Unless... You haven't done any crimes, have you?!

[scarredhorns]

[She quickly shakes her head while holding her hands out in front of her.]

N-No! I swear I've never committed a crime!

[trenchdoting]

Okay, okay! When you say it like that, I feel like I gotta believe you! I... I declare you not guilty, pal!!

[scarredhorns]

[She breathes a sigh of relief.]

Thank you, Gumshoe-san. But now you've gotten me curious. What do you plan to do if you ever run into Lucy?

[trenchdoting]

[He scratches his head.]

Now that's a good question! I'm not so sure anymore. I don't wanna arrest someone who's also an innocent person... and now that I think about it, I don't think I have the authority to arrest anyone yet at all on this planet, pal! But I know I gotta do something to keep her from hurting other people...

[scarredhorns]

I should also warn you that Lucy has a certain power. I can do it too, but not all the time since I need more practice.

[trenchdoting]

A power? [It's starting to seem like every other world has some sort of magic and/or powers.] What kinda power are we talkin' about here, pal?

[scarredhorns]

It’s psychic, but not the reading-minds-type. Or at least, I can’t read minds, and I don’t know if Lucy can— [Oops, she’s rambling.] A-Anyways!

We both have the ability to summon these strange, transparent arms and we control them with our minds—so they’re kinda like psychic limbs, though I’ve heard that Lucy calls them vectors. However, not everyone can see them, I’ve noticed. They’re completely invisible to some.

[trenchdoting]

Whoa! So what you're sayin' is, the both of you can make some kinda... magic mind hands? And they can be completely invisible?? That does sound pretty tricky. It'd sure be one way to get the upper hand, pal!!

[scarredhorns]

Yes, and even though they're of the mind, the vectors are very strong. I once fought off a minotaur with them. That's why I don't recommend blatantly confronting Lucy.

[trenchdoting]

A- a minotaur?! Those things are are real?? Oh jeez... th-they really must be strong to take down something like that, pal!!

[scarredhorns]

Well, it was in a world different from Earth, but yes.

I really think we should leave everything to the Moon Knights since their weapons seemed to work on her last time. Unless--do you have any powers that could stand up to Lucy, Gumshoe-san?

[trenchdoting]

I guess that's a relief. So many worlds to keep track of... [He frowns and droops a bit in response to her question.]

...Well, no. I'm just an ordinary joe, pal. B-but I can be resourceful! And I'm trying to get into the Moon Knights myself, so... maybe I can help out!

[scarredhorns]

Any luck with the Moon Knights? Do they make you take some sort of test?

[Not that she plans on joining, but she is curious.]

There's a test to get in alright, pal! I've been studying hard to get myself ready for it!
