[A young lady with white horns poking through her bright pink hair appears to be sitting in her Level 2 apartment, with a galaxy backdrop. She fidgets in her seat.]

My name is Nyuu, but some of you may know me as Lucy. If I'm acting different, I can explain, um... [She wrings her hands around in her lap.] There's really no other way for me to say this without making it more confusing, but I have a split personality. The one called Lucy is asleep right now.

[As her eyes become downcast, she takes a deep breath.]

This is something I only learned about a year ago, and I'm still trying to figure things out, but I wanted to warn everyone about Lucy. I've heard in the past that she's... [the lump in her throat goes down] She's killed people before.

[A sad sigh as she sags in her seat.]

I swear I have no control over it, but I'll understand if any of you see me as a dangerous liability after this. That's all I had to say.

No, at least, none that I know of. I'm sure I would have heard about it one way or another if anything happened.

So it's just as I said, then. Try and stay with people you can trust and things will probably turn out fine.

That does sound like a good idea. It should be someone who knows both Lucy and me, but at the same time, I'd be worried about that person's safety. What if Lucy just snaps all of a sudden?

She has a dangerous power.

That... is a conundrum that I don’t have an answer to, especially since I’ve nevertheless actually encountered Lucy to judge how likely that would be.

Well, she seems to be stable so far, which is good. I just can't bring myself to fully trust her, at least not right now.

I guess I would have to find someone strong enough to face Lucy in case that happens, but that's another problem. Her powers are of psychic nature, so strength alone may not be enough.

That... is quite the conundrum.

[he says, trying not to look wigged out because he's kind of got an idea of what these fucked up murders might look like based on, uh, experience with possibly milder things.]

That sort of power is the sort you really can't take lightly.

That's right.

[She puts on a more serious face.]

I can use that power, too, but I need more practice since I can't always get it to work. Unlike Lucy, however, I plan on using it for saving lives. I refuse to be looped into her label as a murderer.

Oh, so it’s not the sort of thing that can only be used for various degrees of murder, then? I’m more used to abilities which can be used in practical ways instead of just for violence, so that’s good to hear, at least.

[......like. Some will never not be fucked, but.]

Really? What sort of abilities?

[She'll allow herself to get sidetracked for a moment, genuinely curious.]

Unlike the group of us gathered here, in my world, it was uncommon for people to have powers.

It’s pretty common to be able to control one of the four elements where I’m from, actually. I can control water, but others might be able to control fire, earth, or air.

Obviously there are also those who can’t, but it takes all types, doesn’t it?

Wait, the four elements--water, fire, earth, and air... People could control those in your world?

[Of course in Nyuu's world, there's more than that, but she's heard how those four were the big ones during ancient times.]

That's remarkable. [It's said breathlessly.] But I agree. It takes all kinds of different people to make up a world. I just wish more people in my own could see it that way.

[She lets out a small sigh, bringing her hands up to gently touch her horns.]

Back home, I had to cover my horns if I went out in public, but there was a time when a woman happened to see them by accident. She screamed in terror.

Well, even though people who have those abilities are common enough that you're likely to know at least one person who can bend an element, especially where I live, you still have people who fear and demonize us for our abilities. So unfortunately, that doesn't always change even if it's common...

I'd imagine it's a little easier for you here, though, since things like horns and animal ears and whatnot seem fairly common among the Prismals. It's not really something that you'd see in my world outside of maybe people who'd had particularly rough encounters with spirits, but at the same time, I don't really feel like there's a reason to take issue with you for them.
