For those of you who are pet owners - particularly those of cats, what advice do you have for someone whose cat seems to have eschewed their bed in favour of sleeping on your chest and/or face?

Attachment: mute.png

The picture was taken by my best friend who was concerned that I did not immediately answer the door (I was trapped, I didn't want to disturb my cat he seemed so peaceful...)

I have no problems with him in my bed, but it is not a pleasant sensation to wake up not being able to breathe because there is a bundle of cat in the way.

I'm not saying that my cat is trying to kill me, but there have been a couple of close calls. Do I need to bribe him back to his bed? Or is his bed insufficient and he needs another one?

[Though his isn't a cat...]

I suppose they find it comforting! You could say it's a sign that they trust you. Inconvenient as that trust may occasionally be.

That's right!

The inability of animals to properly communicate with us definitely lends to their mystery. But in a way, that makes it all the more rewarding when you correctly guess what it is they wish you to understand. I used to have all sorts of trouble with Ruoye, back in the day...hopefully this cat of yours won't be quite as much of a handful.
