I find it isn't. Yes, you'll get more Chroma for it, but it's nothing that can't be gained with simple physical contact.

I find the culture here is encouraging of whatever lifestyle you decide to have, so you should be fine.

You can, it's just not recommended. Demichroma is an option but not one that can be as sustainable as regular Chroma.

For what it's worth, while I did adopt a pet here, I do live alone and manage it by having friends close by but not in the same apartment as myself.

I wasn't expecting to easily make friends here, outside of the ones I already knew, but people are for the most part friendly and accepting. The network isn't a bad place to start.
