currently looking for someone familiar with weaponry and comms tech
namely monomolecular films or something similar
and a connection from this communication system to a pair of sunglasses which may already have the interface installed

[What. babby's first network post and no hi? no thanks? sheesh.

Also, be aware that he's using voice-to-text and our lovely Siri may fuck it up because we all know how dictation tech goes.]

depends on the kind of monomolecular film you're talking about. you thinking like old-school Langmuir–Blodgett model, or something that DOESN'T require a desk-sized trough to make what you want? like. i'm assuming you want an amphiphilic polymer built on organic scaffolding to add a special film to the sunglasses for some reason, which -- by the way, you're describing like three areas of expertise: 1) applied weapons manufacturing, 2) communication tech, and 3) surface science, which could all require different experts from different fields, or just... y'know. me.

anyway. you're probably going to get in trouble pretty fast talking about cutting-edge weaponry on a public forum, but sure, yeah, if you found a robust enough energy source (maybe you were asking about monomolecular films for photovoltaic solar cell applications??), you could probably create an ion cannon from scratch, considering that -- unlike manufacturing traditional bullets from literal lead -- you could probably hook up plasma-based ammunition to the whackadoodle Chroma/magic/whatever rules we got going here in Alien Furry Town. as far as hooking up comms between your friendly-company-provided-device™ and custom-built sunglasses (with some kind of projected UI, I assume), I can tell you it's possible, but you'd have to build them from scratch here, since aforementioned alien magic tech doesn't play nice with intranetworks brought over from home worlds.

hi. i'm tony stark, by the way.

since google doesn't exist here, I think you know the answer.

monomolecular blade... interesting. I've heard of microfilament wire, but what you're describing is a novel application. I'm intrigued, but not enough to spam messages in plain sight about how to make a sword (daggers?? machete????) that can cut between molecules. of course I'd NEVER think to meet in person to discuss something like that, ESPECIALLY where the good folks at Lunar Scientia WOULDN'T be able to read and therefore benefit from any discussions.

anyway. moving on to comm systems, bit more kosher. yeah -- not to brag but I've got a hyper-intelligent AI built into my equipment. works great -- except when she tries to interface with Prismatica-originated devices, like this one.

regardless, I see from one of your comments up above that you basically just need the equivalent of a bluetooth connection between your device and personal-audio-equipped sunglasses, which is dead easy. like hands-tied-behind-my-back easy.

gotta ask though... what kind of guy requests both high-tech weapons and assistive devices in the same post?
