currently looking for someone familiar with weaponry and comms tech
namely monomolecular films or something similar
and a connection from this communication system to a pair of sunglasses which may already have the interface installed

[What. babby's first network post and no hi? no thanks? sheesh.

Also, be aware that he's using voice-to-text and our lovely Siri may fuck it up because we all know how dictation tech goes.]

You mention weaponry yet didn't specify what the monomolecular film would need to be made of or made for; I'm quite well-versed in biology and technology myself, so it would greatly depend on what needs doing and if I'm capable of creating it with what we have available here, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility.
I created healing nanotechnology, after all.

But I may be able to collaborate with an engineer friend on level 3 if it's something neither of us can quite accomplish on our own.

Creating a connection with this communications system to a pair of sunglasses should be an easy afternoon project, though.

You're free to come by the clinic whenever you have a couple hours and I can try to interface with your existing programming and see if I can build a bridge of sorts.

Is there any aspect in particular you're looking to add? Or anything to note that it's lacking?

( Because of course she's right on it, and of course she knows who this is. )

[ Those are a lot of words she doesn't get at all. The modern world is certainly more confusing than she thought. ]

Hello!
It's good to meet you.
I'm sorry I cannot help, but I am curious.
What are "monomolecular films" and "sunglasses"?

Familiar with the weaponry and comms tech part.
As in how to use them, not so much how to create or modify them beyond a general sense.

I hope you find the person you're looking for because tech like that could be very useful.

depends on the kind of monomolecular film you're talking about. you thinking like old-school Langmuir–Blodgett model, or something that DOESN'T require a desk-sized trough to make what you want? like. i'm assuming you want an amphiphilic polymer built on organic scaffolding to add a special film to the sunglasses for some reason, which -- by the way, you're describing like three areas of expertise: 1) applied weapons manufacturing, 2) communication tech, and 3) surface science, which could all require different experts from different fields, or just... y'know. me.

anyway. you're probably going to get in trouble pretty fast talking about cutting-edge weaponry on a public forum, but sure, yeah, if you found a robust enough energy source (maybe you were asking about monomolecular films for photovoltaic solar cell applications??), you could probably create an ion cannon from scratch, considering that -- unlike manufacturing traditional bullets from literal lead -- you could probably hook up plasma-based ammunition to the whackadoodle Chroma/magic/whatever rules we got going here in Alien Furry Town. as far as hooking up comms between your friendly-company-provided-device™ and custom-built sunglasses (with some kind of projected UI, I assume), I can tell you it's possible, but you'd have to build them from scratch here, since aforementioned alien magic tech doesn't play nice with intranetworks brought over from home worlds.

hi. i'm tony stark, by the way.

[ What she thinks? Hm. She replies after a few minutes. ]

Literally; one in my world would assume it means
glasses made using sunlight.
or glass-mirrors that can contain sunlight.
but I'm assuming I'm not right.
Calling someone "Master" here seems to be taken badly, after all,
As compared to my world.

I'm not sure, for it is an honorific
Maybe I'm translating it badly?
They all insist not to, for it has connotations
But no one will tell me what those are.

As for your question...
Logically, glass that shields against sunlight
But glass would only amplify it, wouldn't it?

In human tongue, it's "-sama".
At least, the humans from the lands I know of.
My people use it, too.

So... the glass is not clear?
Then is it opaque?

thank a god of choice
plus pretty badass

yeah theyre a thing
i made them in an alchemiter which is of no value to say here but i only say it because ive been working on interfacing mine to the system but im not a code genius
i can still fuck around with the apps i have on it but not really do shit all when it comes to this thing were talking on now
the code genius we had back home isnt here

since google doesn't exist here, I think you know the answer.

monomolecular blade... interesting. I've heard of microfilament wire, but what you're describing is a novel application. I'm intrigued, but not enough to spam messages in plain sight about how to make a sword (daggers?? machete????) that can cut between molecules. of course I'd NEVER think to meet in person to discuss something like that, ESPECIALLY where the good folks at Lunar Scientia WOULDN'T be able to read and therefore benefit from any discussions.

anyway. moving on to comm systems, bit more kosher. yeah -- not to brag but I've got a hyper-intelligent AI built into my equipment. works great -- except when she tries to interface with Prismatica-originated devices, like this one.

regardless, I see from one of your comments up above that you basically just need the equivalent of a bluetooth connection between your device and personal-audio-equipped sunglasses, which is dead easy. like hands-tied-behind-my-back easy.

gotta ask though... what kind of guy requests both high-tech weapons and assistive devices in the same post?

So I've been told... but it's common in speech around me.
Well, perhaps, not here.

Tinted glass, though.

So you can see through them? And the sunlight cannot pass it?

im assuming you mean at home
i finally found some time to fuck around with the alchemiter thought it was easier to message my bros if i didnt have to use two devices
if you mean here for the same reason
i wanna be lazy

we good or?

fuck youre not kidding
plus how much cooler are glasses right?
i want to sit back put my feet up on the table like the god given right it is
fold my hands over my stomach and surf the damn net
its not a lot of a man to ask

you know there may be one guy i didnt think to ask
he goes by engineer i think on like level three? i think three
next time i see him ill ask him or if you see him first real nice good ol boy who does no wrong and just has cool machines
