text. @Blade
currently looking for someone familiar with weaponry and comms tech
namely monomolecular films or something similar
and a connection from this communication system to a pair of sunglasses which may already have the interface installed
[What. babby's first network post and no hi? no thanks? sheesh.
Also, be aware that he's using voice-to-text and our lovely Siri may fuck it up because we all know how dictation tech goes.]

film isn't man to peel [omg]
i just need to connect one to the other so i don't have to use audible cues on my wrist
has messed up my plans before [he needs to be sneaky B( ]
no subject
And that was terrible.
( SMH MAMS!!! She's trying to help! Don't make her laugh. )
I would have to have a look at what your sunglasses are already capable of, but it shouldn't be more than a day or two's project between patients. Whenever you have the time to stop by, I'll see if I can download what's there and make a copy to test on so you aren't stuck here all day with me.

or i could just show you the one on my sword and you can analyze it by regression
mind-blowing i know
no subject
Ah, so it was on your sword after all. ( Wrow. How did she know?? Miraculous, stupendous— he never has a weapon on display.... [/s] ) I can have a look at the very least, you're right. If it's something beyond my capabilities, I'll contact an engineer I know and see if he can collaborate.
Shall I expect you soon? Lunch will be my treat, if a little late.

[siri no]
the voice to text feature is prone to mistakes
i meant that it wasn't meant to heal
this engineer guy seems to pop on everyone's radar
guess i'll pay him a visit
[WHY DOES IT SOUND SO OMINOUS LIKE THAT, MAMS PLS]
you trying to win me by my stomach doc

But yes, that makes sense. It'd be difficult for it to create its own material to do so in the first place; you'd need to create the space for a "manufacturing plant" of sorts. That's how my nanomachines work. My staff actually creates them on demand. But that means it's very easy to destroy once and I'd have to start over building a new one. A double-edged sword, I suppose you'd say?
And Dell Conagher's very skilled; he's made himself fairly well-known on the network here, though not blatantly so. I think he just made a new post singing a country song, actually.
I believe I've said before— my answer depends on whether it's working or not. Hasn't it been effective? You tolerate me. And since I can't cook, the least I can do is buy a worthy replacement for the sentiment.

what do you mean you can't cook
no subject
I can make a few basic things from home out of sheer stubbornness.
I can grill sausages and manage a stew over a campfire so no one has to suffer MREs too terribly long.
But otherwise, I'm not very good at much of anything else, and I've never had the time to learn or anyone to teach me.
( She was a war orphan, after all. One who led a privileged life after it, surely, but still one that never had a mother to teach her the simplest of things like not boiling milk or how to season pork chops or fish. She thought baking was even more complicated and didn't even bother trying, even though it's likely a better fit for her with the chemistry knowledge and her necessity for exact measurements.
Is that really what he wanted to ask her, though? Just incredulousness that she couldn't cook? )

book some time off and meet me here
[ping]
i'll teach you

The statement instead of just being an offer makes her laugh on the other end. Maybe it's his way of paying her back for all the food she's shared with him over the months. )
I'll message Baptiste, then, and see you in about thirty minutes.

no excuse.
But anyway.
No harm in learning later. ]
bring these
[Ping! A list of ingredients. Time to learn how to make fried rice and eggs and baked salmon.]

Certainly no harm in learning now, from a blind man, who wields a deadly sword like. All the time.
He must be really great at cutting fancy vegetables, right? No, but truly, she's interested to see how he works and how he teaches, when she's the one underfoot. )Understood. Anything you'd like to drink that will go well with what you've planned? Any particular teas, juices? Fruits for a dessert smoothie? I can at least do those.
( She already knows no alcohol; she remembers the way he'd looked at anyone drinking it before. Aaaaaaaaand she's at the market in short enough order. Quickly quickly! )
no subject
Tastes fucking delicious enough for his team to cheer when he cooks, though. Once you disregard the
hideous look of itbad plating, it's a party for the palate.]no need
i've got tea and miso here
no subject
Still, color her excited. She's had a couple idle offers before, but none that have yet to pan out. She wants to learn. )
Right, then I'll at least cover dessert.
Unless you don't like chocolate...?
( It's all the hint he gets. It's literally just going to be sipping chocolate, but that's decadent enough, isn't it? )
