[Those who know Lunatia's local centaur lady will probably recognize Konoha's face as the video cuts in... way too close up at first. But thankfully she pulls it away from her, and, with a few taps on the lens with her finger, turns it to reveal... another centaur! A much bigger, buffer, and male centaur, but yeah, that sure is a sweaty fellow with a bunch of lumber?]

Gonta! Here you go, it's working now! All you have to do is talk to it as if you were talking to actual people.

[For a moment, Gonta squints at it with his one good eye. And all of Lunatia gets to enjoy an eyeful of nearly shirtless buff sweaty one-eyed horseman with a large plank of wood over one shoulder.]

Uh...

[He was about to talk, but it suddenly feels awkward. He isn't sure... is this people? This is so surreal... but his eye just goes for Konoha and he clears his throat, trying to compose himself.]

So... uh... the machine things. They stopped working well when those jellyfish came. I smashed some. And the Prismals took the rest away. Uh...

[By the great mountain, this is so awkward. He scratches the back of his hair. The video sways a little in Konoha's grasp, and a little "Mmm, that's good! Now you just have to ask!" can be heard before- oops, there's some fingers in the shot, don't mind that.]

Alright, alright...

[Gonta composes himself, straightening his back, looking every bit a majestic, strong jinba with a long piece of hard wood.]

Without the machine things around, we need help to complete our new home and farmstead! I'm hoping to get this all done before the month ends. I'll be hoping for your assistance.

[And he bows respectfully towards the camera. The camera bows too???? Until Konoha remembers she's holding it and so her bowing too probably isn't a good idea, straightening back up and turning it around way too close to her face again.]

We'll pay you some, of course! And I'll make meals so you don't have to worry about that, either!

[One more bow and the feed cuts out halfway through Konoha's "Good job, Go-"]

[ It's a shame he can't get a good look at Gonta, being blind and all, otherwise he would certainly be impressed by such a large, handsome centaur man. He does wonder what his association is to Konoha. ]

[ Whoops, nose pressed up too much against the communicator. But something does strike him: his good eye catches sight of the scarring over one of his eyes. ]

[ His voice is a bit softer. ]

Feels a little less lonely knowing I'm not the only one who's lost an eye. Not that I wanna wish that on anyone.

[ Ignis doesn't expect the verbal assessment, however it isn't as if he puts any effort into hiding the scarring he carries. Most tend to ignore it, yet he can understand how people he's never met before would point it out right away. That at least gives him some sort of mental image of what Gonta appears like. ]

I'm afraid I've lost use of both of my eyes, making me completely blind. However I must agree I would not wish my condition upon others. I apologize greatly for whatever resulted in your injury. You've an admirable perseverance to take on constructing your own farmhouse.

Both...? Shit... I'm sorry.

[ He's quiet.

[ Except now he sort of wishes he hadn't said any of that, because... apparently there is a translation issue happening here. Ah. He feels a bit sheepish now. ]

Perseverance. [ Ignis recites slowly, syllable for syllable, so Gonta is able to get a better grasp of the word. ] The ability to overcome obstacles.

[ At the sound of her voice Ignis gives a warm smile. Not at all surprised that Prompto would take the time to chatter about the others. ]

Yes, that would be exactly who I have in mind. He specializes quite splendidly in heavy lifting. Gladio has planned to assist in creating a home for Prompto's chocobo. I'm sure he would enjoy an extra project.

If he doesn’t mind, we’d love to have his help. I worked a lumber yard in our world but that was cutting and hauling, not the actual construction.

You can come, too, if you like!

He's made himself quite the outdoorsman, as he enjoys camping. I wouldn't be surprised if he understands a thing or two about the building process. I'm sure he would be more than welcome to help.

[ Not just because Ignis asks him, but Gladio will always have a weakness to women. And he'd probably end up comparing muscles with Gonta. He's a silly man. ]

Thank you, I may very well accompany him. Gladio is associated with Sanguis, however he's currently mostly human. I do not believe he would pose a concern, but just in case, it would be safest for me to be with him.

That would be great! Do you know what food he likes? I’ll whip up a meal that has something for everyone, it’s the least I can do.

[At the mention of Sanguis though, she gives a nervous laugh]

Ah... Gonta is Sanguis, too. He might get a little competitive if there’s a chance, but... don’t worry! I’ll knock a hoof into them if they start fighting.

[ To ask if Ignis knows Gladio's favorite food is like asking if the sky is blue. But he doesn't want to just throw out recipes at her. ~~And he's sure that she doesn't even know what cup noodles are.~~ ]

As long as there is a good helping of meat, he'll be very satisfied. I would also be willing to lend my assistance with cooking. It's the least I could do.

[ Especially if it's a matter of putting two Sanguis in close vicinity of each other. But Ignis trusts Gladio to try his best to behave. The labor will probably be good for him to blow off steam and keep him distracted. ]

I do give you permission to give Gladio a firm kick if needed as well.

Are you sure? If so, I definitely won’t turn down the help... and you might be more experienced with meat than me!

[Phrasing aside, she’s far more used to hot pot meat than grilling or any other cooking method...]

Haha, alright then... I may be smaller than Gonta but don’t worry! I’m really strong, so I think I can handle them if need be!

I will say traveling has been the primary source of that experience, as arduous as the efforts have been. I do have my recipe book with me, if you would care to take note on anything else that would interest you. I'm sure your husband would greatly appreciate it.

[ As they say, the easiest way into a man's heart is their stomach. ]

Oh, I've no concern of your abilities, Miss Konoha. And if worse comes to worse, I do know how to keep Gladio upon a short leash when needed. Being blind does not prevent me from disciplining him.
