[ Hmm. It's too easy to imagine pouting Vane. Ayer thinks it over — maybe Percival likes teasing Vane sometimes? Similar to how the Captain enjoys teasing the hell out of people due to fondness… He's been a victim of that several times too.

Then, he reads that Siegfried is gone. He's aware of course, but that reminder still causes a strange effect on him. He's at least glad Siegfried is back to where Gran and the others are. And it's touching that Percival is willing to be there for him, so he still manages a secret little smile somewhere. ]
