I will not hide my identity nor pretend these words are not attached to me. There were men who thought I committed many wrongs before I came here. One man held me accountable and spared me nothing besides a lingering death, which leads me to my question: in your estimation, are there any crimes that are unforgivable?

What a common man or woman cannot - should not - do, a king or a queen can do for the good of their people, correct? Great sacrifices are expected in battle - in war - however do you think that a ruler's life should be forfeit for them? What good can they do if they are slain prematurely?

I can admit when I am wrong, but on this...

That is what I thought. I had to rid my kingdom of my enemies - the usurpers who slew my father on his throne. I am the rightful Queen.

The man who killed me has a claim, too. He assured me he didn't want to be King. I even asked him to rule with me.

Perhaps, if he is here you can grant him the death he deserves. It's clear he lied and betrayed you to take power for himself. He wouldn't be the first to do it.

I'm not as sure about his motives as I would like to be. The Starks are morally strict and he seemed upset over what I had done.

We want to believe in those we let close too us until we’ve only left ourselves open to more hurt and disappointment. To answer your question- no. I don’t think anyone can be trusted. It’s foolish to let yourself be vulnerable to another person. They all leave in the end.

Is there a way to make peace with it? (The loneliness. Daenerys can distract herself with sex and intimacy, but the feeling is still there like a rock or a hollow in her chest.)

I know how it feels, yes. I don't know that there is a way to make peace with it, but this place isn't with out the means to forget for a while.

I haven't lacked choices or companions. But it's difficult not to fear all intimacy.

At least there is nothing to gain by my death here.

It's hard to see a knife in the back. Fear makes you more cautious, I think. I'm not afraid of the act itself, but I haven't gone out of my way to seek options.

I've always been a monster and burning isn't as quick as you might think.

If we've both always been monsters, then that makes us a decent match, wouldn't you say? I'm not worried about dying - quick or slow. I have no intention of doing so, if we plan to have a long standing arrangement.
