[When Sherry speaks it’s clear she’s nervous, her voice is just a little too tense for casual conversation.]

Okay so I know people have been mu- changing, but has anyone had any changes around the eyes in particular? Like glowing spots?

I’m just trying to make sure this is the same thing everyone else is going through and not- uh, something else.

Okay.

[Esme doesn't have much experience with frozen meals but he's willing to trust Sherry's judgment on food. He finds the plates easily and sets two on the table.]

Do you want to talk while we wait, or after we eat?

[ Sherry chuckled. ]

After, it's not like the microwave is going to take long.

[ Two means in one hand she reached for the Microwave with the other... only for electricity to fly from her fingers and the Microwave to short out in a flash of sparks and blech of smoke. Sherry backed away coughing]

[Moving to he side quickly, Esme gently pulled her further from the smoking box. He looked from it to her, trying to figure out just what she had done.]

Are you okay?

[g_jr]

I'm okay.

[ Sherry coughed more as she let herself be pulled away for now. ]

Open the windows will you?

[ Sherry pulled free to get a fire blanket to put over the microwave before the fire could spread. ]

R-Right.

[Esme quickly obeyed, opening all of the nearby windows before returning to see if he could help.]

[Sherry held the fire blanket wide as she approached the microwave throwing it over the smoking machine and backing off. Light glowed through the thick material before growing dim, Sherry coughed more the smoke getting caught in her throat making her coughs turn into wheezes by the time she reached the window Esme opened.]

I think it's out.

So what now?

[Esme walked over to the sink and filled a glass with water for her before bringing it over.]

"I guess I'll have to clean it up..." Sherry said as she took the glass of water. "But that can wait."

Sherry drank half the water in one long swallow. "But that can wait, can you look at the fridge, I got some take out numbers stuck to it."

While Esme was doing that, Sherry was going to carefully flip the power button on the wall off before pulling the plug, the last thing they needed was a spark starting a second fire.
