Given a hypothetical unpreventable end, you can't stop nor fight it. All plans and contingencies are moot and the fallout no longer matters, may as well finish all existing projects and fight until you go down.

Given an inevitable death, may as well go down doing something interesting.

The world is not a singular entity; once a universe achieves a state of entropy, it will be replaced by the seed of a new universe with its own unique initial variables. It will start over.

Some of the apparent side effects are something he could do without, sure - namely the ghost hands - but there's something to be said for curiosity besides. And the possibility of being told a variety of things people might have otherwise preferred to keep under wraps, even if there's often very little direct context for same.]

[He knows that Xigbar has lived through the destruction of Radiant Garden, yes. But the question of whether or not that can be called an apocalypse is another matter entirely. Especially in the face of Xehanort's Grand Master Plan.]

Between the five of us, we've done impossible things before.

Attempting to stop it is better than giving up, giving in to Fate. Even if it didn't work, at least I'd be with the people I care about when the world ended.
