Find a way to stop it. If the world is truly done for, then save as many of the populace as we can.

And how would you go about doing option A or option B?

If the cause of the destruction is a physical being, come up with a plan to destroy it before it destroys us. For example, a planet-sized weapon that eats worlds, find the very core of it and kill it from within.

[Bit of a specific example, but he's not gonna mentioned it took the power of love and understanding and ghosts too.]

Option B. Grabbed a spaceship, plant a mass teleporter to save the population, and leave the planet with the survivors.
