i was raised in a bandit tribe out in mistral, i didn't know anything else. i stopped because i found something i wanted to protect and stealing and murdering wasn't the way to do it.

ozpin can do a lot of crazy shit, i'm sure if i ever got 'officially' caught he could have. heh

[ She takes a moment to respond to that one. Not because it's hard. She can understand it. That's what she's trying to do- to become a better person so she can protect the people she's come to love who care about her. But she also doesn't understand how he could just leave the people he was raised by. She doesn't understand at all. Even if she's had some doubts about Cinder, even if everyone who's heard her side of the story says she's delusional, that Cinder doesn't love her, she can't... she doesn't know how she could possibly turn her back on her either. She doesn't know if she believes the one thing Mercury and Seijuro both seem to agree on, though she hasn't told them as much.

But Qrow's left the people who cared for him even when he didn't know anything else. She doesn't really have the right to ask him for help, and she doesn't know if she can really share that she wants help. She hasn't even told anyone that she's confused and hurting about this because everyone she knows hates Cinder, so they couldn't possibly understand, but if he left the people who raised him behind, maybe he... has answers, she doesn't know. ]

[ Qrow can probably relate more than Emerald thinks. He should have left Raven behind years ago... and yet now that he and his sister are both here, he still hasn't.

That aside, he's already figured there must be something on her mind if she's asking him all these questions, even if it's just plain curiosity. Qrow has no reason or basis on which to trust Emerald himself, but he's noticed that the kids seem to treat her as a non-threat, and Prismatica has always been something of a neutral zone... so why not? Know thy enemy and all that. ]
