Hey, so, I don't know my birthday.
(If you want to know why, click here for all the bg info you need)
How do you pick one?

[ Sorry, Em, he really will leave you here now. 😔 He lets go and gets out of bed. Akashi trusts her enough not to mess up his bedroom too much... she knows how he gets!! And he knows that she wouldn't do anything really awful. ]

is this what it means to be a koala]no subject
Will you clean up with me?
[ He's not gonna shrug Emerald off, but he places his hands over hers and brings them up so he can kiss the back of it. ]
no subject
[ She releases him so he can walk without toppling down the stairs, but finds purchase on the back of his shirt so he can't get away from her. ]
no subject
[ Words of encouragement are fine, but he'd much rather hear about her day! ]

I went to someone else's yoga class to steal ideas, then I went and bought some games and groceries. I did some target practice, then I read a little on my device but not more than a chapter or two of anything... I'm having trouble finding anything good. Tetsuya always knew what to read...

Kuroko enjoyed reading very much. I think he was a member of the library committee when were in Teikou, too...
[ It'd be nice to see Kuroko again. Akashi's not worried, at least, because time doesn't really march on in his world. He does wonder what Kuroko will do now that Kagami's left for the United States. It's bound to affect Seirin's play style, too. ]

He was going to help me when I started working at the library for one whole day before it got a hole blown in it back in Verens, too.
[ She really did end up listening to Akashi on that even if she didn't think it fit her. But maybe that's why she didn't stick around and wait for it to be prepared to start work.. she likes reading at least, even if that's all she would've wanted to do instead of the actual job. ]

[ He would have liked to hear Emerald tell stories about how it is in the library. It's where Akashi used to work, after all. He likes the people there. ]
But there are more opportunities here. In this more futuristic world, you could do so many things.

I could go to school and try to catch up to what I need to. For Japan. Remnant's education system is way different even if I'd actually gone to school.
[ It's all about combat and specializing it seems like. If he gives Emerald an algebra problem she's going to have 0 idea what it is. ]
no subject
[ He seems pretty excited at the prospect, with how his face lights up after she says it. ]
See? This didn't take long.
[ Cleaning up, he means. It took less than ten minutes! Before going back up, he washes his hands in the sink. ]
no subject
[ As if he's going to be the major distraction... (Okay, for her, he is, but not on purpose like she's implying.) ]
It could've not taken long in the morning. [ She leans in to smooch the back of his neck. ]

[ Studying is fun, Emerald... One of your boyfriends is a very studious nerd.
He should be burnt out from studying, but he's grown to want to learn as much as he can. Studying isn't an activity he detests, even if it's why he doesn't know how to take a break. ]
And it wouldn't have, but I would still know that I left dirty plates on the table.
[ He turns to face her, leans in to give her a soft kiss on the lips. The tasks are done now, so he tugs on her hand to lead her back upstairs. Now they can bum around!! ]
no subject
[ Emerald doesn't really care for studying specifically, but she does like learning, especially if it's from the person she wants to impress. Anything Akashi wants her to learn has value. Even if they can't be in the same classes, she can still study next to him. ]
It's solved now either way- [ She smooches him back, smiling at him as she finishes her sentence. ] and I learned to just do it the first time so I don't have to get out of the covers so you don't get insomnia from thinking about dirty counters all night.
no subject
[ Sorry, Em. He's not a pushover when it comes to studies. It's not like he knows any better when he was pushed and pushed to study and excel rather than take a break. ]
It's a valid thing to think about. Having dirty tables or counters could attract pests, too. I won't take any chances.

I won't learn anything if you do my homework for me, why would I bother going at all if that was the plan? I'll ask someone else for help if I need it.
[ She knows she's got a reputation for doing bad things, but she doesn't think that she's ever given him the impression that she puts in less effort than she should when something is important. She's vindictive, has quick fingers, and is willing to go way too far if she thinks it'll please someone she cares about, sure. But she likes to learn and cherishes it when someone is willing to teach her something or sit through helping her. She doesn't like that Akashi just assumed she wanted to cheat. ]
At least I know how to be really annoying now if you ever give me a reason to be. [ She's pulling away to head back upstairs at least. No more koalaing for now. ]
no subject
[ He follows her back up once he's closed the lights downstairs. He leaves the light by the front door open, though. ]
There are a lot of people who ask others to do their homework for them. Sometimes it's done out of necessity. Others do it because they're bullies.
[ So he didn't say it because he thinks Emerald would cheat. He knows how a school works, far more than Emerald does. ]
no subject
[ She grumbles. She doesn't think anything she does to him is really bullying. She definitely wouldn't make him do things for her, either. ]
Can I shower?
no subject
[ He'll even prepare the shower for her if she wants him to. Get the water hot already once she gets there. ]
There are towels in the cupboard. I got a green one for you to use.
no subject
[ Yay, a green one for her! She already seems to be peppy again as she peeks into the bathroom to spy her towel. ]
no subject
That feels so inappropriate.
no subject
no subject
[ Because he'd be cleaning himself, too. ]
I already showered, though.
no subject
[ He'll see less even! ]
no subject
[ Can he bring his shogi set there? Well, no. The wood will deteriorate...
