Good day, everyone. I hope you are all in a better state now.
[ Much like his last post on the network, he waves at the camera when the transmission begins. He's seated on a sofa chair with a coffee table in front of him. A shogi set can be seen in the foreground. ]
I'm not sure just how big the Japanese populace is here, but I'd like to send an invitation to play shogi. I do have a certain friend whom I play with every week, but it would also be nice to get to know more peopleβboth through conversation and through a game. I also have a chess set, for those who don't know how to play shogi, so please let me know if you're interested.
[ He keeps it a secret that he's never lost in a game of shogi... or chess... or anything else that isn't basketball, really. u_u ]
My other inquiry is a little far off from board games. I was wondering - if you were given the chance to forget something about yourself, would you take it? [ He lets out an amused chortle, a little obvious that he's hiding something. Akashi is not the best of liars. ] It's a thought I've considered more than once now... I was hoping to get an outsider's point of view.
Anyway, those are all my inquiries. Thank you for your time.

I don't really know shogi that well, [At all really.] but I know the rules for chess if you don't mind an amateur.
[So there's that. Now for the part that's got her craning forward to bracelet a little.]
No. I wouldn't choose to do that. Having a hole in your memory is...terrible.
[Why anyone might want that is what made her open the feed. Now she's curious.]

[ That's his lowkey way of saying he's fine with it! In fact, she may even learn a few things from him. ]
But you wouldn't know about the hole anymore because you've forgotten all about it.

Or I could wind up being a complete natural. [If only it were true.] Never know until you try.
[It's all a nice distraction that's giving her a few extra moments to realize she's missed an important detail.]
You're looking for hypothetical answers.
[Oop.]

My question is very specific to my own needs. I posed it hypothetically for others to think about what they would do, whether in a general or more specific situation.
... May I ask, has something like this happened to you before?
sorry this is late af
A stretched out second later, finally, she speaks. ]
Yes. Mine's more of a specific situation. I didn't get a choice on having my memory erased. If my friend didn't have her phone with proof, I doubt I'd ever know it happened.
[ A weird, awkward, not-fun time. But it's the first time she's got the chance to talk about it since. ]
