Inuyasha was a child that doesn't understand anything. His ignorance continued to be astounding, but it is nothing new.

And, though it is selfish, I admit I would have liked to have known him better.

He is where he needs to be, and will grow into a person that will actually have some worth.

As for your desire to get to know him... your patience would have been tested.

I agree. We only met a couple of times, and on both occasions we quarrelled relentlessly.

Even so, on both occasions, he sought to protect me from harm. Not many would do that for a stranger. Thus, under his rough mannerisms, he is a person of integrity.

Selfnessness is a noble trait too, I think. One who would fight for others with nothing to gain in return is worthy of respect.

Still, I suppose those rough edges do need work, as you say. I hope he grows to live up to the standards you have set for him.
