Something I should ask, as I seriously doubt I'm the only one who found themselves in this situation:

Is anyone else dissatisfied with the clothing you can purchase off the shelves in the shops here? The sizing is completely useless, I've already found myself at a loss of what to do for the one week out of the month I have a tail, and let's face it. It's difficult to get ahold of good corsetry here.

If anyone would like to lend their talents to a worthy cause, I would be willing to pay handsomely.

My other inquiry is a bit more generalized, I suppose. What sort of books does everyone here enjoy? This is, of course, a completely innocent question that I have no plans to use for the purpose of ensnaring you in a world of fabulous literature later on.

I realize back in my world I never did ask Blithe how he managed to even put on a pair of trousers every morning, but your other suggestion is not without its merits.

[ Because even if your clothes are altered to the tail, how the hell do you put on pants in a way that isn't horribly awkward? Not that this matters too much to Ambro, since she almost always goes for dresses, but still. ]

When I was a child I had the habit of reading mystery novels backwards. Of course, it ruined the suspense of it all, but figuring out how things always ended up to the dramatic reveal was its own reward.

It's usually a tie in the back instead of the front, so most people get confused when trying tail-made clothes. My robe doesn't have a hole so it's just the pants. Too... um...too many layers otherwise.

Ah, that actually sounds fun? Maybe I should try it...

Interesting. The one I'm stuck with is more one of those little rabbit tufts, which is good for concealment, but sometimes I'm not sure if I always want it out of sight?

That's certainly an optimistic way of viewing things, yes.

I don't normally do trousers, either, so that's one less thing to worry about.

I'd trade my transparent body for bunny tails any time. Uh, though that might get me off-balance...?

I've never just worn a skirt, I usually have leggings under. Isn't it cold?

I do wear stockings on most days, but almost all of my skirts tend more toward the longer side.

The shorter ones are cute, don't get me wrong, but these days I'm not sure if I can wear one without feeling I've stolen something off of one of my daughters.

Um, either way I think a bunny tail would fit under a skirt, so maybe it's no problem after all? Otherwise you could maybe turn it around and fasten it in the back.

Also, is it just me, or is the craftsmanship on several of these garments...rather shoddy?


[ Not even a "she's royalty" thing, old-timey hand-woven fabrics and garments generally had a lot more craftsmanship put into them in general. ]

Oh, yes! I mean, some are good, but most things here do not seem to be sewn by hand but with some kind of machine? So there are little faults here and there.

[ He's... not spoiled, exactly, but he also has some fancy background. (Connie cannot sew for shit, either, so don't take his word for it. ]

I think it's so it's cheap for everyone.

Fair enough. It takes some getting used to, and...to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of whatever material they're using for a good deal of these.
