Y'see I thought the same thing, but for some reason he keeps biting me when I try? It's not like him to be aggressive, but he's constantly either crying, breaking things, or trying to get out of the apartment.

And he's a spriggan, his teeth are meant for grinding up crystals and gemstones, they hurt!

Back home they say a spriggan's soul is tethered more to its crystal than to its body. I'm worried something might be wrong with it.

He's all belly! Just a fat, round, belly with big soft ears and he's so stupid it's great.

I know he's not okay because usually after he's eaten a pound of quartz he just passes out in my lap and snores for the rest of the day, or I can sit him at a window and let him oogle the outside world. He's my dust bunny! I found him when he was a little tuft someone threw in the trash back home.

He's an ugly, gibbering, half-feral ball of soot, but he's baby.

Bein' able to moonlace doesn't make me feel any better about this place, maybe your pet is just annoyed too.

They are a soulkin. As far as I've ever been told, his soul is actually in his crystal, not the body he uses to eat things. If something's up with his crystal then I'd need a proper mage to fix it.

Listen there's a lot of magical bullshit back home for me but figuring out whether your overgrown dustbunny is shackin' up with someone's vacuum cleaner bag is above my paygrade.

If he was out to make more of his kind he'd probably be stockpiling food instead of gobbling it up. I know they don't pop out of the ground fully formed either because he used to be about the size of a hamster. Now he's more like a very small cat.

I think it's the crystal. You know anything about transferring souls? Charging up magical items?

Wow, demons might not make the best pets, who would have guessed.

If he was doing that he might start eating himself! He's not the brightest star in the sky, and I don't wanna have those nightmares.

It's mostly behaviour? Spriggans aren't the calmest creatures but Giggity's never gone out of his way to bite people before. Every time he's gotten away from me I've pulled him out of shops he's smashed all the wares in, or I find him stealing people's phones and breaking them open, only to throw the pieces away without eating them.

He won't let me touch him, it's weird! He's normally hanging off me for attention.

He's probably been getting more since we got here, just because I have to make a point of letting him out of the apartment. We usually travel a lot and he spends it sleeping in my bag, that's how he got transported here with me by accident.

He's not quite a real animal either, that's why I'm starting to worry about his crystal. It's supposed to be a soft violet colour, but looking at now where he's sulking, it looks more... yellow?

I don't like this.

Maybe the chroma is affecting his crystal? I mean, it makes us crystallize if we don't moonlace enough, and the moon has crystals on it, and the people have crystal pieces... it would make sense if crystals from home might be tuned into the moons somehow.

Twelve do they ever. Back home he usually eats quartz, but I change it up when we travel around. Low quality jade, chunks of amythest, some tempered glass as a treat. He eats flourite like candy and crab shells too.

Usually one good meal a week and he's happy. Spends the rest of his time cuddling his crystal and licking it.

Y'know he's not doing that last part. He eats, and he gets full, but he won't relax afterwards.

Yeah, he was fine munching on glass and quartz for the first few weeks, but now he's looking ragged.

I know back home we all generate and tap into aether no problem, and his crystal is basically just an aether crystal with his soul inside it. Could it still be aether, not chroma? Like, the rock itself I mean.

You know anyone who had any aether shards with them on arrival? Mine were all in my saddlebags and didn't make the jump with me.

i do not know sorry unless someone has a soul crystal they use to fight but they probably would not want to give that up as a spriggan snack

there is a shop last i went i saw adverts something about summoning things from other worlds

may be they could summon some crystals from home

I've had to replace three moonblessed's phones this month, and he's chewed his way out my apartment window. Neither of us know where he's trying to go, but every time he makes an attempt I get the bill!

I don't really have what could be causing his behavior, though ... Is he normally like this, or is this just a special occasion?

He's always a bit of a bother, Spriggans are like perpetual toddlers: curious, and quick. What's changed is now he's aggressive.

I know I struggled switching from our world's energy to Chroma, but he was a stow-away for the jump to Prismatica and I don't think he's in a good way.

Know any mages, if you aren't one yourself, who might know a bit more about how chroma works?

I only just got here not too long ago, so I don't think I would be much help. I do know some magic artes, but I haven't tried to cast any since I got here. There hasn't really been any need to so far.

I'll keep an eye out for anything that might be able to help, though.
