[Sherry's been looking at this comm unit for days trying to figure out how to ask this, today she just decides to bite the bullet.]

I guess there's no way to ask this without sounding insane but, has anyone else here met people from their world but different times?

Yes, it has. With two different people, actually.

It's not too bad with one of them, since they're from long before I or anyone I could've ever met normally was even born, but the other one... makes things a bit awkward.

I got it the other way around, one is a few years behind me bet we've never met, and two I met as a child are from the day I met them.

I wouldn't know if there was anyone else from that far in the past from my world. The people from my world only recognised each other on the network when I mentioned a recent event.

How did you figure out you had people from so far back in time around here?

... Yeah, the second person I was mentioning was also the opposite of that. He's the one who basically raised me, but he's still a teenager here. And he hasn't met me either. Well, outside of here.

As for being able to figure out that the other person was from that far in the past, it's a little complicated to explain. We only really figured it out because a major event that changed the fate of the worlds hadn't happened for her yet, but through means that I'm not entirely sure about there was a prophecy about it, so she knew enough of what was going to happen for us to figure that out.

And Wow your world has prophecies that come true? And I thought the fire was impressive.

Yes. It didn't help that we got shoved into one of those games that were meant for couples during the festival and that's where we ended up meeting.

As for the prophecies, I'm just going based on what I was told from her. I wasn't even aware that those prophecies were a thing before I got here. Though like I said, time travel was something I had some experience with even before coming here, so prophecies being true aren't exactly that weird.

Your world sounds very different from mine. While there are some people who say they can see the future it doesn't come true. We don't have magic either.

And don't talk to me about those games! I got stuck in one too it was so embarrassing.

[Okay. She'll avoid talking about the games for now, but it does take her a little bit longer to answer this message than it should. ]

Your world probably does have people who are capable of using magic. Going to other worlds isn't something that's new to me, and my magic's always worked regardless of where I was.

If that's true they've either been very good at keeping it secret or it's true what they say about any advanced enough technology being indistinguishable from magic.

Or they've never figured out how. Or thought it was something else. It's not like most people can just cast a spell casually without knowing how. There's always a couple of exceptions, but that doesn't happen all that often.
