Yes, actually. We haven't determined the exact size of the gap yet, but he knows how events that were unfolding when I arrived here get resolved.

I doubt he would thank me for giving out his details on the network. But it's someone I first met as a child.

Needless to say, he was more than a little shocked to see me like this.

I've come across different versions of friends than I have back home but that is perhaps something unique to my world and the sort of people we are. But I don't see why different times aren't also a possibility. [Though admittedly it hadn't occurred to him until now.] It is a rather fickle force after all.

My friend is about fourteen years in the past.

Yeah, he's from back when we just met in Raccoon. I was 12 back then. I've seen some pretty weird things myself by nothing like time travel.
