01 ♫ VIDEO

[As soon as the video starts, Demyx is looking down at the camera while fiddling with something behind it.]

You got it? Just hold onto it like this - both hands, and don't drop it! Once we're done I'll get you some more glow sticks, okay?

[For a moment a pointed silver "hand" covers the lens, prompting Demyx to gently re-adjust whatever it is. He disappears from view once everything seems normal, and there's some rustling in the background before Demyx bounds back into frame with a small remote and a wild grin.]

Okay! You guys've seen those little robots they got out in the street, right? Turns out they've got smaller ones that're for your rooms and stuff so I may have gone out to get one like... two nights ago, along with some other things. Now you're probably thinking that's pretty cool - not having to do a crazy amount of cleaning, right? Well, they get way cooler! Hang on--

[He pushes a button on the remote, and inside his apartment music starts to play in the distance.

It slowly starts to get closer and louder in turn, and whatever is manning the communicator starts to get a little wobbly. Almost as if it's... dancing. And eventually a flat, circular vacuum scoots into view with a set of speakers attached to it, prompting a laugh from Demyx.]

Ta-da~♪ Presenting the one and only DJ Roomba!

[It bumps into a corner, turns, and after a couple seconds it starts to creep towards the camera, which gets the attention of the 'camera man'. After it gets close enough, the communicator drops, and a strange silver creature twists and zooms out of view as Demyx scrambles to pick up the dropped device. Whatever that was, it sure did get spooked!]

I guess he didn't like the song or something, but uh... Anyway! I wanna load this baby up with other stuff, so gimme some really good ones!

... Is there an actual point to doing that, or did you set it up like that just because you could?

Oooh, that's so harsh! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the moon. Or is that just a Keyblade thing? Trust me, no matter what inane little thing it is, the answer is always just because he could.

[ A pause. ]

Or because he couldn't, if you want the excuse.

[ Oh great, her again. And to be even worse, Larxene does actually have a bit of a point. She's been a little off ever since the Iris moon ended and everything went back to normal.

Not that she was going to say anything.]

Alright. This just doesn't seem all that practical, which was why I was asking.

[ She'll ask Demyx for more of his reasoning later. Maybe there actually was a practical use that she wasn't thinking of for... DJ Roomba. That was what he called it, right? ]

[ Right now Larxene has no desire to get into real altercations with the Keyblade Crew, but... some of them are just so much fun to mess with, and Aqua's at the top of the list. ]

Your first mistake was assuming it would be practical at all. And that's so sad. Don't they let you have any fun in Keyblade Training? Or do they drill that out of you early?

We're allowed to have fun.

[ She's just ignore the rest of it. She already knows that giving this woman more to twist back at her wasn't going to help at all. Honestly, she should probably just shut down this conversation right now, but it'd just get started up again next time anyway.]

[ Unfortunately she's dealing with someone who's the type to keep pushing until she's stopped. ]

Awww, so sorry, did I hit a nerve? Why don't you tell me what you do for fun, Blue? Enlighten me.

Dancing and baking, mostly. Also reading.

[ She already knows that Larxene is just going to use that to make a jab at her again, but Aqua's pretty sure that unless she answered 'torturing small animals' that Larxene would use whatever she said as a jab at her.

... Actually, even if she said that the result probably would've been the same.]

That's disgustingly domestic of you. Do you give your kiddos milk with those baked goods too, mother hen? Bedtime stories for little Ven?

[ She's so boring to Larxene that she almost doesn't have any good material to work with. She seems more clueless and overall Good than Sora at this point. ]

What would be wrong with that? [ A quick pause, then... ] The being domestic part. Ven's too old for what you're suggesting.

[ She knows that she should have even asked that question, but it had slipped out before she could really think to stop herself. ]

Apparently you don't.

[ Even if she still doesn't see the point, well, he clearly enjoyed it so whatever.]

Do those speakers stay on without any trouble, or did you need to spend a lot of time figuring it out? [ Obviously there's stuff like tape, but she's not if tape would work well enough on those speakers for long. ]

[personal profile] bubbleblaster 2019-04-23 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
[ It might not be complicated, but even so...]

Still, it's not like you just put them on the robot without securing them at all, right?
bubbleblaster: (20)

[personal profile] bubbleblaster 2019-04-24 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably? But it'd also be bad if they somehow got damaged because they weren't secured on it somehow, even if it's nothing permanent.

[ ... Okay, yeah, she was really spending way too much thought on this. He was right, and if the speakers broke it's not like they were hers. ]

I guess that response gives me a definitive answer to my last question.

[personal profile] bubbleblaster 2019-04-26 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
... I don't think food and electronics are really comparable. Even if people were willing to buy you food, they're probably not going to want to get you a set of speakers.

[personal profile] bubbleblaster 2019-04-30 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
[ Okay, well, clearly she can't argue with his results. Though honestly, why he needs to bother with getting other people to buy him stuff she doesn't understand.]

...Well, clearly you're more experienced with what will work than I am.
