Does anyone here practise yoga? There are a number of couple's positions with which I would like to experiment, but I do not think the locals here are quite ready to handle a mechanical body such as mine.

I am also very happy to initiate the inexperienced among you who would like to join me regardless! I promise to be a gentle teacher, and that you will find the experience most satisfying, both physically and spiritually.

I am. In my world, my kind are known as "omnics".

It is a brand name! My kind were first produced by the Omnica Corporation decades ago, and the name has stuck.

Oh, no! I was originally intended for factory line work. I took up yoga entirely of my own volition. :)

Oh, I wouldn't say that. It's just...you know how people try to come up with what they think the future would look like in science fiction? Robot uprisings, sexy gynoids, pilots for various types of vehicles...

Robots choosing to do yoga isn't something I've seen before.

I admit, it is not common in my world either- yet. Those predictions are not entirely inaccurate, either, although there are far fewer uprisings now than there have been in the past. :)

Considering the terrible war that preceded them, it is a relative improvement.

My hope is that man and machine can learn to live together, side by side, as equals. The road is fraught and winding, and we will not always be able to see the destination at its end, but I believe that all will one day walk it together.

Where I come from, it seemed like computers and people were getting closer, not farther apart. Everyone relies on their "smartphones" now. They even talk to us and even have their own personalities. It's like having a really helpful friend in your pocket.

I only wish I could answer that question. The factories that created us began to create soldiers autonomously- no one was able to discover the reason why before they were terminated.

This was before my time, as such. My world is still recovering. But I hope that your future will be brighter- it sounds as if you are on a positive trajectory.

I hope it stays that way. Software is only as intelligent and benevolent as the person who writes it.

What, like built-in QA? Someone's gotta write the original code. But no, I haven't looked into modern coding. Maybe I should.
