[Now that everyone is safely back from the Spirit world and Yang's gotten her latest Sanguis cycle over with, there's something she needs to do. Even if she's more conflicted about it than she's willing to admit, putting it off any longer just risks placing the people she cares about the most in danger.

Calling a meeting for this seems unnecessary and making a video post feels weird so instead she just sends a written message out to her friends and their allies through the network.]

Vernal wasn't the Spring Maiden. Raven Branwen is.

I don't want anybody to get hurt so please. Be careful around her. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys sooner.

[Maybe that makes her weird because probably most kids would defend their mom if somebody insulted them but then again most kids don't have an asshole bandit queen for a mother.]

And he would honestly be more surprised if she was defending Raven and her actions. He knows Yang doesn't take that kind of bullshit.]

She's a piece of work, that's for sure.

For what it's worth I think you're better off without her influence in your life.

I definitely appreciate her leaving me with my dad more than I did before.

If she'd taken me with her I probably would have just ended up like Vernal.

[Groomed into the perfect decoy and then left dead somewhere when that inevitably failed.

Hell maybe her mom would have just killed her before even getting to that point; age certainly didn't keep her from straight up murdering the Spring Maiden.]

A sad thought, but very true. It's depressing to think Vernal trusted her that much and still lost her life for it.

[Vernal may have died regardless, but he feels the way it happened was sadder since it seemed like Raven did very little to stop it.]

[It's particularly depressing because Yang could see a younger version of herself falling for the exact same trap. She was certainly desperate enough to find her mom when she was little, probably wouldn't have been hard to manipulate her. Pretty much the only thing that would have held her back would have been Ruby...

...Probably best to not think about the what-ifs.]
