[Lunatia's resident centaur lady is back on screen, and this time she's sharing the spotlight with... a table full of fresh vegetables? Still a bit dirty, fresh from the soil, good ol' vegetables... That Konoha bows over to start out.]

Hello, everyone! My name is Konoha... I'm a jinba, or a "centaur" if you want... I'm from Echigo in Japan, but lots of people say I'm from the past...

[She's just going to do the same introduction every time, counting off details on her fingers to make sure she gets all the good points... there's too many people on this thing and she doesn't check it enough to keep track... oops. Anyway-]

I wanted to ask people some questions about food! My husband and I have set up a little farmstead, but the crops are growing, um, way faster than they really ought to be... [we're just going to speed past the blush] and it's not like we actually have to work for money here, so I was thinking of not just taking the crops to market but... serving meals at the house? Or sending them to people elsewhere in the city? I don't know, but I've met a lot of people here who said they just eat food from the stores, and I know those are really convenient, but it can't be better than a home cooked meal, can it?

[Look at this big turnip! Isn't it healthy looking?! Don't you just want to eat it?? Konoha smiles, making the root vegetable dance around the screen.]

So... can I ask you some questions about what sort of food you like? Or what kind of things you miss from your home? Maybe what they make in your country with vegetables? If you give me some of your time, I'll send you some fresh ones as a "thank you"-

Promise!

[One last bow... and she and the turnip sign off.]

I am somewhat familiar with them through text, but I have yet to sample them. Our starches are limited to squash, the aforementioned potatoes, sweet potatoes, and the like. Wales has a cool, temperate climate so we are limited in what can be farmed, though my brother's newly established trading partners have been bringing in more and more exotic fare.

[ He might be a little homesick after being here so long... ]

What of your homeland?

The ingredients themsevles don't have to be exotic. The different methods of preparation and cooking can also bring new facets of the same dish alive. While we tend to cook salmon in our land, there are those who prepare and serve it raw without a single spice involved. There might be more exotic flavors within your own land that you're unaware of.

[ Which is the same for him really. ]

Before coming here, I had never eaten jellyfish in anything, yet the Prismals seem to enjoy adding it to whatever dish they deem worth.

I did not. I had no idea that the flavors would be amenable to my own tastes. It was unheard of before I ever left Wales and Feendrache.

[ He likes to think for good reason. Food poisoning is never any fun. ]

I've since expanded my palate, rest assured. That doesn't include jellyfish, however. Don't tell me that's also a delicacy where you're from.

Don't say that so easily! I still vastly prefer having things cooked.

[ It's the Wales... Welsh(?) man in him. ]

At least, that is some small mercy. Have you tried any other seafood aside from mackerel?

How so? I am curious to what manner of preparation is involved to make fresh deer liver palatable.

[ Surely, she doesn't eat it that raw, but then again, she is part horse... he'd still like to think there is some cleaning involved at least. ]

And we can educate your palate a bit more in that regard. Salmon is popular. As well as lobster, crayfish, sea bass, and the like.

A-and you've never gotten ill from this method?

[ He's fairly sure his own stomach would chuck it right back up. ]

What about caviar? Or I suppose salmon roe would be more common if those live among your waters.

Fine. I will try this delicacy of yours in the interest of furthering my education.

[ And hope it tastes something like venison. ]

In exchange, I will bring you freshly baked sea bass and a bottle of fine wine for you and your husband.

Leave that part to me. I am no stranger to hunting for my own food.

[ Though he has his doubts on whether this land even has regular deer in its bestiary and not simply the ones that become that way every month. ]

And think nothing of it. It is only a fair and equivalent exchange. A meal for a meal.
