[Lunatia's resident centaur lady is back on screen, and this time she's sharing the spotlight with... a table full of fresh vegetables? Still a bit dirty, fresh from the soil, good ol' vegetables... That Konoha bows over to start out.]

Hello, everyone! My name is Konoha... I'm a jinba, or a "centaur" if you want... I'm from Echigo in Japan, but lots of people say I'm from the past...

[She's just going to do the same introduction every time, counting off details on her fingers to make sure she gets all the good points... there's too many people on this thing and she doesn't check it enough to keep track... oops. Anyway-]

I wanted to ask people some questions about food! My husband and I have set up a little farmstead, but the crops are growing, um, way faster than they really ought to be... [we're just going to speed past the blush] and it's not like we actually have to work for money here, so I was thinking of not just taking the crops to market but... serving meals at the house? Or sending them to people elsewhere in the city? I don't know, but I've met a lot of people here who said they just eat food from the stores, and I know those are really convenient, but it can't be better than a home cooked meal, can it?


[Look at this big turnip! Isn't it healthy looking?! Don't you just want to eat it?? Konoha smiles, making the root vegetable dance around the screen.]

So... can I ask you some questions about what sort of food you like? Or what kind of things you miss from your home? Maybe what they make in your country with vegetables? If you give me some of your time, I'll send you some fresh ones as a "thank you"-

Hot pot is always the best with a bunch of people. We make it out by the river with the whole village around harvest time.

No, there are! It just happens that we don't happen to eat a lot of it. Most of the meat consumed where I'm from happens to come from farm-reared animals.

[ Beat. ]

And the occasional non-sentient animals slain by adventurers.

[ But as for the second part. ]

Ah, that does indeed sound nice! Perhaps I should tell my friends about this when I get back home...

Oh, I see! We do more hunting in my village... with all the mountains there's not as much space for lots of cattle or anything...

[Monsters? Oh- Is he that type, then?]</small. Do you eat monsters when you adventure? Are they... good?

[lightsworn]

[ Insert dungeon meshi adventure flashbacks where Kaelas just dumps monster parts into campfire and eating them with a pained face. ]

...Properly prepared, yes! But sometimes when you're uh. [ Broke. ] Out in the wild, you don't have much of a choice but to make do with what nature gives you.

So just fire grilled then?

Or do you mean raw?

[lightsworn]

Fire grilled, of course. Some monster parts taste close enough to actual farm animals, but more gamey due to being wild.

...Some are never meant for human consumption and I learned it the hard way!

[ THUMBS UP because he actually ate the vine of this thing and survived by sheer luck. ]

Phew, I was worried... I know some things are good raw but how would you guess on a monster...

[Fresh liver is one thing...]

You must have a very brave stomach, at least...

Trial and error! When you're an adventurer, anything in the wilderness can count as food.

[ There's a chuckle as he says that. ]

I've heard that a lot from my friends, but well, I just like trying new potential food.

A tavern has to have a signature dish to attract other people after all.

My parents used to run one in a small hamlet, but I'm thinking of something a bit more... adventurous. A rest stop for weary travelers as they make their way to their destination!

Oh... you want to make one? Your own business? That’s a good dream!
